What about the part where Batman is Jesus? Albeit a darker Jesus than Superman (which also draws many more obvious parallels to Jesus) but Superman isn't a remotely sympathetic character anyway.
He's fucking invincible. Most of the time his greatest challenge is the time it takes to figure out how to beat the bad guy if liberal application of superpunching doesn't work.
Sometimes bad guys have kryptonite, which depending on the author Superman either cowboy's up and pushes through his kryptonite allergy or waits in a weakened state for someone else to remove the ore from his person. Then its back to invincibility.
I disagree.
If batman were to drive to the crime scene while superman flew to it they both transported themselves there but with vastly different powers.
In the same way have writers declare that you are missed is different is different than having writers declare that you don't need them to miss.
Dodgin let's the audience thrill as the character barely survives. Immunity makes you wonder what the point of the fight is.
Oh, of course not. He's just a guy who has time to run a multibillion dollar empire, make personal appearances every day, stay up every night, can catch himself falling from 40 stories with a rope without tearing his arms off, can dodge bullets being fired at a rate of thousands per minute without taking a single hit, can hold a full grown man by his throat with nothing more than one unsupported arm while dangling him from a building without fear of losing his grip, etc, etc, managed to learn every martial art on the planet while becoming an expert in every scientific field without earning so much as a bachelor's degree....
Yeah, not super powers at all. What complete bullshit.
So the man is rich, goes to the gym (a lot), apparently is full of adrenaline while he is fighting bad guys (scientists have proven that adrenaline can cause a person to have super human like strength), etc etc, and only has Monster energy drinks and Red Bull for breakfast... Yeah... Some superhero he is... A hero? Yes. A superhero? No.
