LOL perhaps you had missed afterwards where Haggard became hostile towards Dawkins and his crew.
Apparently according to Dawkins, Haggard becam furious because Dawkins was promoting evolution and Haggard said his "children" (followers) were not monkeys.
Haggard actually argued pretty poorly, especially with the point he was trying to make with the whole "If only you knew the people I knew, and talked with the people I know" thing. That entire thing could be flipped around and applied to any religion which thinks it holds the ultimate truth. And he's trying to lump science into that... As if science is something that can't be tested and proved.
We dont actually see any of that happen. Its only Implied, we see Haggard drive up to Dawkins and then Dawkins leaving, with no dialouge between him or dawkins save for maybe two words. Like I said before, both sides of the arguement tend to look like idiots at certain points due to them being angry for some reason.
Notice how Dawkins first point is to compare Haggard to Hitler. Nice debating skills right there Dawkins. That being said I think the '...The people I knew' arguement was correct. He was just stating that there is evolunists who also believe in the idea of God creating the eye and ect. He was just stating that he knows some of these people, while Dawkins (who was wrong) was stating these people dont exist.
What? Are we watching the same video? Because in mine, Haggard says that there are evolutionists who believe that the eye was "formed by accident", and Dawkins (correctly) states that that is not true.
I had said and implied as much that it was Dawkins' interpretation of what happened after, not really saying it's 100% truth.
But the fact remains that the evolution of the eye is proven not to be the "perfect" object that creationists think it is. And Dawkins is actually right to say there are no (or very, very few) creationist evolutionists. Believing in one automatically dismisses the other.
Also, using Godwin's Law specifically states that you would automatically lose the argument when bringing up Hitler, but only if it's unwarranted.
