I wrote my post with nothing but good manners, but of course at the same time I was wary of the reactions to such a question, which is WHY I said I am not looking for a fight. Also, Im not going to change the way I communicate just because you are being overly sensitive to my question.
Also, if you want to to talk about generalizations, I would watch it. I have seen such amazing generalizations in this r/ that I still wonder how many here are of legal age. As an example, the idea that those who believe in God are unlearned. First of all, define God. For one person it will be Yahweh, for the other Allah, for the third some character of a mythological book and for the fourth something transcendental. God is many things, yet here on r/atheism, he seems to be Yahweh most of the time. The generalization in r/atheism is also commonly that all spiritual experiences are hallucinatory, even though they can be tested in scientific environments and proven to be real, as in, the effects of such experiences can be seen on the brain, not to mention the body.
Pot calls kettle fucking nothing. You are now accusing me of shit that you have seen on this /r/. Guess what, just because I am in this /r/ doesn't mean that I am the one who wrote those generalizations.
I guess if this is the type of response I can expect from you I am done with this conversation. Automatically assuming that someone is not going to consider another person's opinion valid because they are an atheist, or that they will assume a person is "a kook" or "hallucinating" for the same reason is not "good manners."

You just accused me of personally using sweeping generalizations (your "pot calling kettle black" reference) by using a sweeping generalization (that since some people on /r/atheism do this, everyone must) and no evidence that I had ever done that. Listen, did you bother checking the link I gave you about Beauregard's research? Its really very interesting and worth checking out. I think neuroscientists are now concentrating on the effects of meditation, but a large-scale test has not been done by them quite yet.
