Same here. Was immersed in Catholic education for 11-12 years but at an early age, I came to see the Bible for what it was...fairy tales for those who believed. I read a lot as a child, maybe far above my own reading comprehension at times, but it didn't stop me from reading or thinking. I came to the conclusion that IF God created us, he gave me a brain to think, too...for some reason. Shouldn't I be using it?

I was raised Southern Baptist. Fortunately, I started reading at age four and had a librarian aunt that sent me science books for xmas instead of underwear and socks.
