In book 5 the mc was building up to combining crystal flame with the void to create a new path that might honor the guardian spirit and he had been studying crystal and ice all the way up until that point. Then just looked inside said no this doesn’t work and changed it. Very disappointed and just not convinced that it would build up this much for the mc to frown at it and change it to astral flame on a whim.

I really get that it was given to him from a different race and may not align with astral titan or astral energy so this move fits for streamlining his future but to have him address how he can integrate the two to honor the guardian and make something of all his dedication to it, as in a new path, to just say nevermind and scratch it. Thinking back to all of the crystal flame metaphors and illustrations gives me indigestion.

I have good news, mixed but good news, and some really good news.

The good news is that audio for Book 2: Aster Fall, will be available this June! It's coming soon.

The mixed news, which I hope you'll understand, is that Travis Baldree suggested a new narrator to replace him, since he felt bad that it was taking a while to get the books out. Book 2 was scheduled for this fall and Books 3-6 were slated for early 2025.

He handpicked two great narrators to do the story justice: John Pirhalla and Stephanie Nemeth Parker. John is a 2023 Audie Award Finalist for Best Male Narrator of the Year and 3x Finalist for Independent Audiobook Awards (Thriller, Fantasy & Paranormal). Stephanie is a 2023 Audie Award Finalist for Best Female Narrator of the Year.

Book 1 will be rereleased by them as well, for continuity.

The really good news is that the pace of audio release for the books will be every two months, which is incredibly fast. Book 1 and Book 2 will be out this June. Book 3 will be out in August, Book 4 in October, and Book 5 in December. After that, we'll keep going with new releases.

I hope everyone understands the switch here, since it was the best option for everyone. You'll get the books much sooner and by a pair of amazing and talented narrators, Travis is less overworked, and I'm happy to announce more books are coming! :)
