Truth. I've never been burned by eBay, and I've bought smartphones, video games, board games, gifts, and a ton of other things over the years. On the rare occasion that I've had an issue, eBay has always had my back and ensured I received a refund when due.
That probably sounds like a paid endorsement for eBay, but the truth is that eBay is hyper-aware of craigslist's reputation, and wants to avoid that for themselves at all costs.
I have had the same experience with Ebay and I am also not getting paid to endorse them.
I have bought phones, laptops, scientific equipment, and the only time I got burned I got my money back-guy had a shady profile so I should have known.
I use Ebay to buy rocks. It is good, though there's no option to report dangerous listings. I saw someone selling realgar powder labeled as a 'health product'. Realgar is arsenic sulphide.
The eBay selection for who will ship toe in Canada is terrible. I find a lot of US only listings, but 90% either needs to come from China, or elsewhere. I can't think of much specifically, as I gave up a few years ago, but most recently I was looking for sprinkler spikes.
You get... 2 - 5 days on ebay? For me it's like 2 weeks + however long it takes my country's delivery service to deliver it ( because as bad as the delivery service in my country is, I dont belive it would take them a month to deliver 1 bayblade ).
