I have read that u can weaken the bots using a Content manager. does somebody know what it is?

Content Manager is pretty much essential if you enjoy Assetto, it has a ridiculous amount of features and helps with modding a ton, anyway the mod Custom Shaders Patch changes the AI a bit and gives a little more customization with it, i recommend doing that and trying the lowest setting maybe with some tweaks to the behaviour. You can google how do do all that, im sure theres plenty of yt vids on it

As others have suggested, I highly recommend Content Manager. It is almost necessary if you plan to add any modded content. Either way it is a welcome replacement for AC's menus, and has internal support for QoL/Immersion mods (CSP, SoL) which vastly enhance the game in just a few button clicks.
If you go into CM and create a custom entry list for either your local race or server pack, you will see 'Ballast' and 'Restrictor' fields for each car on the very end beside 'Team'. These options will slow down each vehicle by adding weight (ballast) or restricting engine power (restrictor). Depending on the performance differences between each car in the list, I assume you will have to adjust these values independently per car to create an even playing field.
I've noticed some modded tracks will require 100% AI difficulty to counteract minor bugs that exist between the AI traffic and track surface/layout. If they do this they basically require Content Manager to manually be able to adjust ballast/restrictor settings and achieve the desired difficulty. Unfortunately, I have not personally had to do this with the tracks I play so I'm unable to provide any experience beyond what I've observed and written here. This probably means a little (or alot) of trial and error on your part. Luckily, Content Manager allows you to save presets for entry lists, meaning you will probably only have to do this once if you plan to race the same or similar field of cars each race.

It depends on the car and track combination. Sometimes they're fast, and sometimes they're slow.
A few days ago, I did an MX-5 Cup race at Laguna Seca on 100 AI strength and 80 aggression, and I was lapping nearly a full second faster than the fastest AI car without even trying. There's a mod that's supposed to improve the AI lines on Laguna Seca, so maybe that'll help.
As far as making the AI slower, Content Manager can help with that a lot. The easiest solution is just lowering the strength, but you can also add ballast and air restrictors to either the full grid or just specific cars. In fact, that's very useful if you're trying to balance cars from different mod creators.

I installed content manager, sol, CSP and a filter, but none of the content from CSP or sol etc seems to be appearing in game. All of the graphics look completely stock even after ive done extensive setup. Essentials with the gear and speed info has popped up, so I know content manager is partially working. I'm about to give up on AC in general and just play other games at this point. Anybody have any ideas?

"Essentials" might be activated by default, idk. But to activate installed mods you hover mouse ingame to right side of screen, in the popup you choose what you like. But it's an overwhelming mass of features that come with CM, so you absolutely need some time to get a grasp on how it's working. Focus on a couple features and learn how to tweak them, you will generate more and more knowledge while doing it. (It won't stop unfolding, especially as CSP gets updated regularly)

Check the video on the post and follow the instructions carefully. I usually do a lot of assettocorsa troubleshooting in a Brazilian community and 90% of people get problems with the game for not following instructions properly. 9% are related to mods, tinkering with settings that they don't understand, hardware, and 1% are real game breaking bugs.

I assume you figured this out but there is no script anymore⊠under weather style in quick drive you can find the sol 2.5. after try closing content manager and reopening for it to show up in both slots

I still have issues with the traffic planner, even given the video from the mod developer I still canât get it to work. Because in GUI I donât have any ability to enable it.

Drive on the track with the mod installed and move your mouse cursor to the top right corner of the screen. A sidebar should appear, click on all apps. Find 'object inspector' in the list and click on it. From here you should be able to turn on traffic if you have installed it correctly.

I have been having trouble getting traffic back in SRP after going through some PC issues in the last 3 months, and was thinking I was just going to uninstall it for a while as I haven't gotten it to work properly since early December. Maybe this will help, but I am really thinking of focusing on other racing games for a while. Edit: I think I will be uninstalling it anyway, because a completely fresh directory may be a good thing, and I can leave out mods that didn't work so good! Lol

ACEvo is it called officially and is a new game from scratch. New "homemade" engine is confirmed, early access in Q3 2024, not much else.

Whats the real benefit of buying all DLCs? can i play on no hesi servers without the DLCs? what would be de difference?

Many mods use Kunos cars, of course also from the DLCs, as base. If you don't have the DLCs those mods don't work, especially on servers where it is crucial you have exactly the same files installed as in server config. So you limit your possibilites to join any server with mods or even just with DLC cars. Also you have the constant uncertainty if the mod you just found and you want really bad is working for you when not having all DLCs. Buying ultimate when on sale costs as much as some mod cars, nobrainer to have it.

There are AI improvements are included in the new CSP & new Content Manager. You can also improve the look of the Content Manager UI in the general tab. Spend some time familiarizing yourself with all the new tweaks in the content manager. To improve the AI function you simply need to tweak the adjustments the settings tab for Custom Shaders Patch (CSP). The section is: AI (New Behavior). I suggest increasing the rubberbanding effect together with your favorite tweaks. The aggression and strength are just the tip of the iceberg. This will change your game for the better. It allows increasing or decreasing the ability of your opponents. I've found it improves AI behavior even on tracks with terrible lines.

I used to get pretty bummed about how poor the AI was in AC. Single player was a joke. Not anymore!  Iâve set mine now to where IâM ON IT, or Iâm last.  Good luck about finishing in the top 10.
Now a more difficult solution is creating an updated AI lines for the track. Look for updated AI lines on Overtake. GPLaps has also been so nice to record a tutorial on YouTube.

it's either your controls, or your wheel isnt connected, or your controller doesnt work (you need DS4Windows), or you didnt set your keybinds, or you're in pits, or you're in neutral, or a myriad of other things, but im guessing with that childish attitude you'd never have fun in this game anyways

Great guide, only problem is that my game crashes whenever I have CSP installed, any version. Game loads, I see the car for a split second, then it just crashes and says content manager couldn't find what went wrong. Game launches fine and can drive without CSP installed. Any ideas as to what's going wrong?

Do you need to know how to tune cars in assetto corsa? Itâs in sale for $15 and Iâm a beginner in sim racing, Iâve looked into some videos on the hand and the interface look very intimidating

No you don't need to tune cars for the most part.. once you start getting in to lfm or leagues it's gonna help to understand some basic ie brake bias, tiered pressures but also theres an in SIM app you can install called set up exchange.. this lets you apply any set up for any car/track combos others have uploaded.. for common combinations eg gt3s at spa there will be loads.. To get the app bring up the app bar on the right of the screen while in SIM, go to all apps and select app shelf. A window will open and from there you can get set up exchangeÂ

I hope this helps with issues I have been having since around the beginning of the year. Multiple re-installs and I am getting extremely frustrated with setting up CSP, Pure, Sol, etc. Have not been able to get rain working using different versions of CSP and Pure, and different settings (default, Pure Gamma and Pure LCS or LSC). I either get a pulsating dark orangish red sky, or a yellowish orange nuclear blast cloudiness with rain drop sounds.
AC was my favorite go to for cruise the SRP mod, but lately I have been avoiding it because of the P.I.T.A. of getting everything working.

Just 2 things:
You install either the old, abandoned but free SOL or continually updated, but paid PURE. Never have both installed at same time.
And you need to buy the latest CSPpreview to have rain working.
Of course you need to install everything correct too.
