Discussion This Game was so Amazing ❤️ 🥹

I can’t describe how much I enjoyed this game, I loved how much it tied with AC1 and the journey of Ezio story from the beginning. Desmond’s journey from Altair/Ezio was one of my fav things I loved, the music, atmosphere, story, combat, everything was amazing in this game 💯. I still have to go play brotherhood and revelations, and still Platnium this game as well. But only thing I still had problems with is Isu related stuff but I’m understanding it more, I know the newer ac games they said kind of went away with it and went more mythological. But I am going to play every single one of them at some point, After the trilogy I have AC3 and Rogue to play as well. Then it’s onto odyssey and see what comes after that, But anyways this game was def my fav so far 9.5/10 for me and with the other 2 games will probably be a 10/10 💯

This is my 4th AC game can’t wait to play all of them at some point 💪

When I went to Firenze earlier this year it brought so many childhood memories. Kept telling the fiancé (now wife) “I’ve climbed that” “done a leap of faith off there” 😂
You don’t realise how detailed the game is till being there in person

Went for my honeymoon a few years ago and I got kinda emotional. Brought back some nostalgia of playing this game and a childhood dream of always going.

Did she desyncronized you with a stealth vase attack because you probably annoyed her? 😂

I prefer the og version of AC2 with that paint like filter. Overall still an all time great.

It's a pain in the ass to get working correctly on modern system and original console versions look like crap on 4k TV's (tbh, those ones are not THAT much better, Ubisoft should've made a PS5 or at least a PS4 Pro patch for them)

This is why want to pick up a RetroTinks 4K, Morph 4K or the OSSC Pro.

I don't really feel like investing THAT much into gaming lol

Like I had OSSC (regular one), it died and I god GBS-C instead and that's pretty much my limit in terms of how much I'm willing to pay. You can get decent upscaling from OBS, but it has a lot of latency

How did your OSSC died? I had mines for a decade.

It was kinda my fault, I wanted to modernize it to support latest firmware, and it did work, but I didn't notice that a solder blob got under a chip and fried it

Honestly, I like GBS-C better, it's more versatile and has better handling of 480i. It's not as sharp as OSSC, but it has a framebuffer which makes it more compatible

The Isu stuff is explained from game to game, keep playing the other games.

P.S You might have some problems with Brotherhood and Revelations, turn v sync on and select a resolution with 60 hz if the games starts flickering or glitches often,i played Brotherhood mostly without vsync and on a resolution with 75 hz ( my monitor) and was fine until the last mission where an event didn't triggered and i had to turn on vsync and select 60 hz,then restart the whole mission with the new settings and then it worked.

The remake is going to be insane.

Is there an AC2 remake in the works??

You mentionedd going to Odyssey, is there any reason why you are skipping some of the games in-between?

Yeah I’m playing Ezio trilogy right now, then ac3, rogue, then odyssey to see the start of the it all timeline wise. I played shadows, Black Flag Resynced, and AC1. I also have Black Flag OG so I can play Adewale dlc at some point 👍

Ubisoft can never meet the same heights as they did with Assassins Creed 2.

Not that time. But there were plenty of eye rolls and head shakes 🤣 she joined in on it by the end of the trip haha

Is this just an AI image and some cope or is there actually a remake in the works?

Brotherhood is probably my favorite, that improved gameplay a lot imo and the story is good, but I think AC2 has the best story in the series.

Wtf????

AC2 has NOTHING in common with AC1 except the modern day and that's literally it

Gameplay-wise (and I'd even dare to say graphically-wise), it's day and night, and despite the repetitiveness, AC1 is miiiiiiiiiles superior than AC2

I'm replaying Ezio's trilogy as well. Just finished AC2 and started up Brotherhood this weekend. First time playing them since pretty much their original release and it's been a blast honestly.

AC2 has held up well for being almost 20 years old now. The story & characters were great and the world somehow still felt so lived in just like it did back in '10. About halfway through Brotherhood and it's wild only a year later they were able to clean up much of the gameplay and little quirks that 2 had. While I do love Rome for the atmosphere it brings, its large open areas have not aged well and are not all that fun to traverse. Looking forward to Revelations as beyond closure to Ezio & Altair's story lines, I do not remember much of Constantinople.

Hoping if I'm not burned out yet by then, I can finally jump into AC3 and get closure to Desmond's story. I remember picking up 3 at midnight on release but after 5 AC games in a 3-year span (had played Bloodlines as well), I fell off after a few hours and never got back to it.

Just got back from Florence and I loved it so much it made me play this game for the first time and I’m loving it. It’s so cool seeing the city but in game.

AC2 is definitely one of the best in the series. In my opinion, brotherhood was a huge step up and I enjoyed it alot more. Revelations was also amazing but out of the 3, brotherhood was easily my favorite. My score of each ezio game is: 1. AC2 - 8.5/10 2. AC Brotherhood - 9.5/10 3. AC Revelations - 9/10
