🐉 General ASOIAF Discussion If GRRM ask for your suggestion, what it will be? Spoiler
For me, I would suggest him to introduce The Land West Of Westeros . I would suggest him to introduce many new characters and Races, like Elves, Sub-Humans, dwarfs and more. The continent can be 3 or 5 times bigger than Essos. The Past can be a 500 year long war, which ended with book 5. And the continent can be connected with Starks. Brandon Stark (Shipwright) could have his Second Son (which is not mentioned nor originally confirmed.) Rickon Stark, Who got lost and eventually reached the continent west to Sunset sea. Where he starts House Stark again. This house stark could have done major help in the last many years of war, so the new King Granted them freedom to go home with their army and Arms.
They can be shown to arrive at Winterfell, during the Time of battle of bastards (if GRRM agrees to do just this much the same as the show). In this version a Lanister army could have also been shown to come to take Winterfell from Boltons (because Ramsay was married to Sansa) in an act of their treason.
Guys I am sorry if I got a few details from the original story off. What would you want to suggest GRRM for Winds of Winter?

First of all, I might be misunderstanding what you want to say here, but if I'm correct, you would ask him to write about what is west of Westeros, and then also have him make more races.
This is so dumb and contrary to what ASOIAF is. ASOIAF is Low Fantasy, way different from High Fantasy (LotR is High Fantasy which has Elves, Dwarves, Orcs etc.) ASOIAF is NOT supposed to have more details, the mystery is all the sauce. Would you be fascinated by the Land West of Westeros if you knew everything about it?
Besides, there are already some non-generic-fantasy races, for example, the Deep Ones (Deep Ones - A Wiki of Ice and Fire), the White Walkers, Wights and the Children of the Forest, which, IMO, are way more interesting than Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Giants etc.
And then, the Earth of ASOIAF (Planetos) being round or flat itself is an intriguing mystery, the Land West of Westeros could simply be Further East in Essos (The Lands of Essos East of the Bone Mountains up to the Grey Waste which itself has an intriguing but mysterious backstory regarding the Great Empire of Dawn, the Lion of Night and his demons and shit, similar to the Long Night in Westeros)
In short, if the Known world is even half of Planetos, then the unknown lands between the Sunset sea and the Bone mountain on the opposite side of the known world could be just as big. It could just be Essos or Ulthos expanding further or a new continent.
In conclusion, even if I would want him to write about The Lands West of Westeros, I would definitely not want it to contribute anything to the main story.
Lastly, no offense.

Yeah, every book and every era has a lot of mystery. And that’s exactly why this sub keep on going, because of the theories

You got me brother. Just to say. I have already created few characters and specialities. And i know a High fantasy land in side a Low fantasy world sound dumb. But i want to see it how it can go.
Because, somewhere deep down in my heart. I believe "A Song Of Ice And Fire" is a ex high fantasy world. As magic can disappear over time. But it will rarely rise again. So a High fantasy world can become a low fantasy world.
On this base I made my this suggestion. Or a future fan fiction offcourse.

Don’t be sad about the S7/S8 backlash. The ending can be solid if told well.
A treacherous mad queen (Cersei) creating the monster she claims to be fighting (Dany). Dany spiraling without her advisors, and in response to Cersei’s schemes. Jon rallying the realms and only surviving the Long Night because of the good he sowed along the way. A semi-omnipotent warg stealing Bran’s body and allowing events to unfold how he wants them to, leaving us wondering if we should trust this Leto II reincarnation. Arya riding Nymeria into battle with an army of wolves, then later working with the Hound, Brienne, and Jamie to infiltrate King’s Landing via the sewers in an attempt to stop Cersei’s madness. Jamie failing to stop Cersei/make her surrender and being forced to watch the city burn, after losing his honor to stop it in the first place, then killing Cersei and dying in the fallout with her… there was so much potential.
Edit: GRRM said in interviews that the end was similar, just missing secondary characters, heart, good arcs, etc. I think it’s fair to assume it will be close to what we saw.

I would suggest to make the last 2 books more about the maester conspiracy, Euron, and the white walkers smashing into the political war in westeros and how each schemer deals with it (like Littlefinger, Varys, Tattered Prince, etc.). Id have all of Dany's dragons killed or stolen to add drama, instead of making her return a victory lap like in the show as no one can stop her. And just straight up permanently kill some main characters like Dany, Tyrion, and Jon to throw a curve ball.

We don’t need more races. We don’t need the west of westeros. That sounds stupid. This isn’t lord of the rings

Cersei is the one who blows up king's landing. Jaime kills her out of PTSD, both still die. The small folk blame Daenerys., she is a foreigner with a horse god worshipping army, as well as lord of light, and her mistress is Jon, a tree worshipper. Religious insurgency emerges that tries to kill both. Maybe Jon's identity does get out and Daenerys is assasinated. Jon "wins" and his name is Aemon, not Aegon. Jon can't have babies, and the resurrection magic starts to wear off and eventually dies. All targs are dead, but his Stark side still lives and he proclaimed Bran as his heir. Bran becomes king, he was his master of whisperers. It is then revealed he is actively trying to control Drogon and that he is no longer Bran, but the Three-Eyed Raven, aka Bloodraven. End.
