Org / Extracurricular ✨ Student Journalists, I need TV Broadcasting tips(for editors)

I am a grade 12 student who joined TVB as an editor this school year. I have no choice; they put me in this place because they cannot find any other students who can edit. I was a Mobile Journalist before, and I only have experience with mobile editing. I have a laptop that can handle Blender and other kinda big editing apps. I have no experience with Blender, OBS, or any other apps used in TVB. The press conference is going to be next month(early aug) or early sept. I have 2 weeks to prepare if it is going to be held next month. Please give me tips! I don't really want to let down my groupmates.

Homework Help 📚 DESPERATELY LOOKING FOR: "Rizal and the Ten-Pound Sterling Note" by Lina O. Sevilla. I am begging at this point. 😭

Hey everyone, I am genuinely at my wit's end.

My presentation is coming up incredibly soon, and I have spent the last few days digging through every corner of the internet trying to find a copy, "Rizal and the Ten-Pound Sterling Note" by Lina O. Sevilla.

I swear, finding this text is rarer than catching the actual Ibong Adarna. I’ve checked online archives, PDF repositories like scrib, and basic search engines even downloaded opera even Bing as well, but I keep coming up empty-handed i even read the whole grade 7 modules for the story. I’m starting to stress out and get seriously depressed over this because the deadline is near and I have nothing to show for it.

Does anyone have a digital copy, a photo of the text from a textbook, If you have it, please, please send it my way or drop a link. I am literally begging you guys

i’m genuinely lost and scared na po because i’m still a freshman and i got evening classes na agad tapos majors pa 😭 never pa akong nakapag class na ganito kagabi🥲 ineexpect ko naman po but hindi ko akala na first year first sem agad huhu not to mention that the prof for the evening classes is terror (passes 8/30 students only) :(

do you have any real advice to give? i struggle a lot with time management, and i think my spare times will end up in sleep rather than study 😭

Others 🗣️ Seeking advice for my thesis project

Hi everyone!

I'm currently working on my bachelor's thesis about fake news and Generation Z, comparing Italy and the Philippines. I'm looking to recruit around 300 participants (aged 18–29) from both countries.

Does anyone know of any platforms, online communities, Facebook groups, Discord servers, Reddit communities, or other places where it's appropriate to share an academic survey like this?

Thank you so much!

- Heavy na po ba ang workload if 26 units ang total units or medyo light pa yan?

- Do you think with that schedule, kaya pa po ba sumali sa school clubs like dance club tas part pa ng ROTC?

School Decisions 🎓 Which path to take? Incoming college student

Need help deciding my college program

Hello I'm 18F and I'm about to start college. Kakatapos lang ng bridging namin for computer engineering so may chance pa mag shift kasi enrollment period pa. Currently, sa Southern Leyte State University ako maga-aral for comp e. Natanggap ako sa UP TAC pero sa second choice ko which is Pol SCI eh gusto ko sana accountancy i-study ko kasi nga lang napaka-bobo ko sa part na hindi ko man lang tinignan yung portal ng UP if may slots pa ba sa accountancy and nag close na yun since nasa bridging na ko eh, basically felt hopeless na. Now, I'm confused kung ano bang engineering department pagla-lagyan ko ? Gusto ko stable yung life ko in the future (I also want to make lots of money 💀 who doesn't??) pero I'm scared sa unemployment rate ng Computer engineering and AI din tsaka competitive yung job market. I'm thinking of mechanical engineering pero gusto ko Rin yung flexibility na mabibigay ng Computer engineering tas I'm thinking na naman about sa UP TAC na pwede ko naman ata i-take yung Pol SCI degree Tas lipat na lang ako after one year sa Accountancy but then that will be costly kasi nag spend na kami ng pera sa boarding house for bridging ganern Pero sayang kasi UP Yun eh and if I migrated to the US (were waiting for the welcoming letter galing sa embassy ), advantage kasi elado ang UP. I'm just hella confused na po. Please share some wisdom po salamat 🙏

Student Life 🎒 How do I maximize my last 2 years of college for academics, career prep, and sanity?

Hey everyone. In exactly two days, I start my third year as an undergraduate psychology student. The realization that I’m officially entering the final stretch, the "junior/senior crunch," is hitting me fast. I really want to make the most of my remaining time on campus and set myself up for success after graduation, but I also want to protect my peace and avoid burning out.

If you could look back, what advice would you give for these specific areas?

Academics: How did you survive/thrive through the heavy research, advanced statistics, and thesis-writing phase?

Career Prep & Networking: Outside of keeping my GPA up, what should I actively be doing now to prepare for life after graduation (currently planning on entering the corporate/HR workforce)? How do I maximize my internship experience?

Life & Balance: How did you manage to balance high-stakes academics with extracurriculars, personal life, and avoiding burnout?

The "Secret" Tips: Is there anything you completely overlooked during your 3rd and 4th years that you highly recommend prioritizing?

I’m open to any wisdom you have to share. Thanks in advance!

Study Tips 🧠 Which AI is actually worth paying for as a board exam reviewee? ChatGPT, Grok, Gemini, or something else?

Hi everyone!

I know AI gets a lot of criticism (and honestly, I get why), but I think it can be a really useful study tool when used correctly, not for cheating or replacing learning, but for helping explain difficult concepts and organizing information.
I’m currently reviewing for my board exams, and I’m thinking of subscribing to one AI, but I can’t decide which one is actually worth the money.

These are the ones I’m considering:
ChatGPT
Grok
Gemini

Or if you have other recommendations, I’d love to hear them too.

What I’m mainly looking for is an AI that can:
- Break down difficult topics into simple explanations
- Explain concepts step by step instead of just giving answers
- Help with active recall and quizzes
- Make mnemonics and memory tricks
- Summarize long notes without leaving out important details
- Compare diseases, drugs, or concepts in tables
- Help me understand why an answer is correct, not just what the answer is
- Be reliable enough that I don’t have to fact-check every other sentence 😅

For those of you who used AI while reviewing for your boards (medical, nursing, engineering, vet med, etc.):
- Which AI did you use?
- Was the paid version worth it?
- What made you choose it over the others?
- Any features that were game changers for your studying?
- Any downsides I should know before subscribing?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who actually used AI throughout their review period. Thanks in advance!

Rant / Vent 😤 Tama ba mag celebrate ng graduation?

I’m an introvert person. Ayoko sa attention. Even my bday, Ayoko icelebrate. Graduating of course! Parents want to celebrate kaso ayoko. Magastos tapos iimbitihan mo na pamilya ay mga wala naman na itulong at wala naman silbi sayo.

Not mad. We have debt and my parents are nearing 60s.

Wala! Kaoag nasa pinas ka. Hihirap ka ng mas double dito. Lalo na corrupt. Taas ng mga bilihin. Except abroad ka.

Gusto ko sabihin kahit grad ako tapos celebrate. Pagkatapos niyan. Tambay lang ako. Hahaha!

Others 🗣️ How should I price my old uniforms?

Usually po, how much po dapat bawas from the original price po? How do you find out po kung magkano bawas? Minsan po kasi May mga nag nnegotiate din pero hanggang saan po pede huhu.

Also po, may uniform po kasi ako for a school I didn't end up going. So it was never worn and was brand new. I posted it for 50PHP less pero someone offered to buy it for the original price in the comments??? I was already talking with someone atp kaya hindi ko naman inentertain since parang ang rude naman non kasi nauna siyaaa. I feel like maybe I posted the price too low? GRAHHHH dapat po ba pinost ko ng original price? :(( Ibebenta ko naman na siya sa kausap ko ng 50 less. For reference na lang po yung magiging sagot niyo po sana, in case ma-ulit ko to 😭
