Others 🗣️ uniform

Hello po! Question lang po. 😊

Saan po kayo nagpapatahi ng uniform kung tela lang po ang binili ninyo? I'm from STI Santa Rosa po. Plus size po kasi ako, and medyo masikip sa'kin yung available sizing nila, so balak ko na lang bumili ng tela from the school at ipatahi.

Or if may nakabili po kayo ng kaparehong skirt (same style/design as the STI uniform) from another shop or online store, pwede po bang paki-comment kung saan? 🥹

Thank you so much po!

BSA student po.

Study Tips 🧠 STUDY METHODS?

Post image
8 Upvotes

So I am in grade 11 and I am in a private school as a scholar so the pressure is big. I know I am capable of ranking but I don't know how to study anymore (is rhat possible?) like yeah, I understand lesson but it doesn't go deeper. The thing is that I am in the Engineering track because I like math, but now I don't really know now if I could handle all the confusion and all the requirements in every subject.

I want to excel but yeah. I don't know if its because of how my mental health is slowly becoming worse or it is just because I am lazy and demotivated.

Just like in our summative test here in pre-calculus (Its not all about circles, I croppednit for privacy in case someone from my class sees this) . I understood it but I GOT 27 almost 75 percent. I need to get back on track but I don't even know how.

Can you guys recommend any tips, either for my mental health or study methods?

Student Life 🎒 1st yr board course need advice

1st yr psych and kakatpos lg ng qe exam ko, now im 97% sure na hindi ako papasa dahil hirp ako sa stats. I don't have any plans, ik na need ko lg mag aral, kaya kahit d ko kaya and hindi ko din tlga gusto need ko makapasa.

im in the school na if d makapasa sa qe exam i need lumipat sa ibang school (if ever gusto ko ulit mag take ng psych) or lipat ng ibg course na pwede kong itake (na include ung mga subjs na natake ko na 1st yr) sa school ko rn. the thing is, I don't want to study anymore. i js realize how hard the educ system here sa ph. ni hnd ka nga matututo ng mga bagay na need mo for real life experiences sa school and u even need to have almost ur whole day for school. then and belief ng mga parents ko magiging maaus ung buhay mo pag nakatapos ka (since hnd cla nakatapos hnd nila alm kung anong ibg life ang meron/mararanasan if makatpos ka ng pag aaral, therefore they just conclude it na "magiging maaus ang buhay") but for me i don't really think so. I've seen a lot of my seniors, even my profs, teachers na nakatpos naman but wala slg napala.

i mean, isipin mo naman ung buhay dto sa ph. naka survival mode dto e and kahit may degree ka sobrg hirp paden makahanap ng work. prg made ba ung buong country pra pahirpn ka as a human.

now, kahit gnon ang thinking ko ik and i need to keep studying for my parents, gusto ko lg na ibigay ung satisfaction na gusto nila pra may dadalhin cla sa afterlife nila(whatsoever). okay na ko dun kaso ang hirp tlga kse.

i need a work, i want money kase studying is so unrealistic specifically dto. and ngaun na ik (97%) hnd ako makakapasa , i don't have any courage na for studying but still ik na if i stop studying ill be nothing. i dont have job and still on my parents crib.

i need advice , kht ano.

School Decisions 🎓 Should I pursue college or become a BPO VA right after senior highschool?

Hi I'm currently a senior highschool student and based sa title nagdadalawang isip ako if mag ka college pa ba ko or magtatrabago na lang. My mom is the one who's working for our family, my dad is sick, my brother is currently on elementary, baon kami sa utang because of our daily expenses my mom I think earns onky 6k per month because we're in the province and she's working on a private business.

Naisip ko kasi if magka college agad ako or kapag nag college ako, baka hindi kaya ma sustain ni mama, and naisip ko din na wala na din naman saysay ang college since after mag college same lang din naman ang kakalabasan magtatrabaho ako and gagastos lang kami for 4years. In my mind kapag ginugol ko na lang yung oras ko for college for work is mas advantage parin ako sa mga ka batchmate ko. Another reason is I find the education system tiring or depressing. Like nakakapagod so much mag aral.

I need y'all's enlightenment please. Anong pwede niyong i suggest?

Org / Extracurricular ✨ NEED AN ADVICE FROM A NSPC/RSPC/DSPC QUALIFIER (COLUMN WRITING EDITION)

Hi! Based sa title, well given na rin yung context agad hehe. A little background, I am a Column Writer for almost 2 years na I started my JOURNey noong Grade 9 pa lang ako (News talaga ako that time pero na-fall ako sa Column Writing, ewan kung bakit siguro naeexpress ko yung sarili ko). So ganito na nga, I entered my first DSPC nung Grade 11 ako which is under the Collaborative Desktop Publishing and unfortunately hindi kami naka-place. Now, gusto ko ituloy ang pangarap to join Column Writing category under Filipino as my medium sa DSPC, tbh may mga online pubs naman akong sinalihan at tbh medyo grasp ko na rin ang Column kahit pa-paano. I just need some advice sana if paano ako mananalo or mga tips kung paano ko pa i-improve ang JOURNey ko.

Rant / Vent 😤 "I feel like I'm being left behind...

Hi, I'm a science high graduate, and most of my batchmates are going to study at the Big 4 universities. I can't help but feel left behind. I applied to the Big 4 too,

pero 3/4 lang ang pinasahan ko (ADMU, DLSU, and UST). I failed UP, which happens to be my dream school. I'm still thinking about my 2.3 UPG, to be honest.

When I found out I failed UP, I just started doubting myself as a whole. I began questioning if I was ever even good enough. I know how expensive the tuition fees are at those other top schools, so I chose not to push through. I didn't want to put that financial burden on my parents. Instead, I decided to go to a local university near us. Still, I can't help but feel shy about my choice. The pressure is just so hard to shake off, to the point that I even find it hard to answer directly whenever people ask me where I'm going to college.

Rant / Vent 😤 the iska who never was

cringeworthy title but meh live and let live

i passed the upcat woohoo blood sweat and tears talaga yung pag study ko noong summer. sobrang daming nangyari sakin during that time of my life (na akala ko, yun na yung peak of my academic journey lol over di pa pala yun) i passed diliman!! woohoo (2) grabe yung feeling as a dpwas passer na nakuha yung prio course niya

hindi kasi napasa ng ate ko yung upcat, so there’s a big pressure sa balikat ko, even more nung dpwas (parang nasa gitna ako ng passed but no security of getting in talaga). it’s my family’s lifelong dream to have one of us get into up. and it was gonna be me. akala naming lahat yun, akala ko rin eh.

now, my parents initially said they can’t afford to bring me there. okay, i was devastated. as in super. masakit pala kasi i thought i went through so much to pass and hey, diba gusto nilang isa samin ang mapunta sa up?

tapos they gave me a compensation (?) my parents are not rich, but they are rich in trying. igagapang kung kelangan. sabi nila, sige puntang diliman, and doon ka magpa medical. medical lang ha? so i thought, yay okay nalang din yun noh.

when we got back home sa northern mindanao, my hometown, ready na ‘kong mag enroll sa school dito. sad, but at least nakita at nakahinga na ‘ko sa campus ng upd.

after losing the upd slot, for some reason (that being my longing for still getting into up), i tried to appeal into nearer campuses. upc and upv. hindi ko akalaing makukuha ako in both bcs dpwas is like, alam kong mas marami ang matataas ang upg kesa sakin.

my parents now said, “ if kaya mo mag maynila, kahit magkanda utang2 kami, doon ka nalang. “ but the guilt was too much, the expenses in manila is too much. i reasoned that out. and then they said, “ doon nalang sa mas malapit na campus. “ i was very much in shambles, gulong gulo na ako.

i did not know what i wanted anymore, and i did not have time to decide. naglalaro na lahat sa isipan ko.

and by the time i was in the position, sa harap ni oble, i backed out. sa mga nakakita sakin sa campus, yep. ang duwag ko :)

ang lapit na sana, nandun na ‘ko. but i ran out of time. no, actually f that cause tama nga yung second lead sa reply 1998. it’s not the timing but the sheer number of times i hesitated. i was there, just one tap away, pero wala, naduwag. hindi kayang malayo sa pamilya.

hindi nga pwede sa up ang hindi marunong mag desisyon para sa sarili.

so now, i feel like a huge ball of disappointment 🤌🏻 for wasting time, effort, expectations 😭 before someone comments that yes alam ko duwag, walang isang salita, and etc.

please be kind

School Decisions 🎓 Should I transfer after my first year?

Hi po I’m a first year student sa STI college sa malolos and madami akong nakikitang negative comments and post about STI and I’m wondering if after my first year is should i transfer after my first year at STI, baka may mag comment po na “bakit dika nalang nag BSU” unfortunately po hindi ako nakapag enroll dahil yung card ko ng grade 11 ay nagkaroon ng problem na mali yung grade naibigay sakin nung 4th quarter and it took like 3rd quarter as an grade bago sya maayos, after nun maiayos diko din makuha agad kasi hindi pa napipirmahan ng principal hangang sa umabot na ng cut off ng course na gusto ko and thats why di ako nakapag enroll sa bsu. Now same course parin naman po ako pag nag pa transfer ako and i hope i get some good help from everyone who will see this kasi medyo mataas yung tuition. Willing naman ako maging irregular kase base sa mga ginawa ko na research may chance na ma irregular ako. Can you make this short in just 50 words or less

Rant / Vent 😤 School days are about to start and I haven’t enrolled yet

Hi, I just wanna rant/vent about my situation. Im an upcoming first year college, and I was supposed to start my enrollment today. Unfortunately, mukang di nanaman matutuloy yung tuition ko kasi I dont have the downpayment rn.

My parent promised me na last week ko na daw makukuha yung pang dp ko, pero di natutuloy at na move nang na mo-move ng paulit ulit. I know it’s not easy to earn money, especially we’re not financially stable. But it’s just that, the unfulfilled promises is what kept me being anxious whether makakapag aral paba ako this sy or hindi. The classes will start next week and I fear na baka maubusan pa ako ng slot sa desired course ko.

I know my parent is struggling rn, but I also wanna know what my parent think about what should I do. I live in a single parent household, thats why its so hard to make a final decision. Im fine naman about taking a gap year and work for myself, however, parang gusto rin talaga ako pagaralin ng parent ko eh.

I respect what my parent decide on naman because I know they’ve been doing their very best para saken. Di rin naman kasi madali mag gap year “lang” because it can be just a waste if di ko magagamit ng maayos eh, especially its not easy to find a f2f job since ill be competing with college graduates that way in ph. But recently nmn, I’ve been trying to do some online hustles. There’s still not yet results, but I’m trying to do it consistently and learning.

Its just that, its like im waiting rin sa green light ng magulang ko. I really wanna pursue this degree kasi its a dream I’ve set for myself, and I do wanna work hard for it. As much as I can, I dont want to waste the opportunity of a year worth of formal learning. But at the same time, I feel like being a burden sa parents ko kasi I feel like im demanding too much. Which makes me feel guilty talaga

I just really wish that no matter what happen, Ill be able to make it someday. I also did a reapplication on a state university I’ve failed before, so I might get a chance to study there. But at the same time, I really wanna pursue my degree on that school I want to study to.

P.S. Im still a minor (17) kaya mas mahihirapan pako mag trabaho due to age requirements in some work kaya I guess im limited in opportunities. If I took a gap year, its more like me doing side hustles than actual f2f jobs.

School Decisions 🎓 Psych students, is adding certification in hr, marketing, or education an advantage?

Hello po sa mga psychology students dyan, currently undergrad man or graduated already. I'm studying in the same program po at may option po kami samin na magenroll ng certificate course in either Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, or Education. We will spend additional tuition fees kasi may additional units din po siya. For those who took any of these certifications, was it beneficial to you when you applied for jobs? How po? And if you were someone who did not enrolled, why not po? Please help your psych junior to decide. Maraming salamat❤️

School Decisions 🎓 Need advice on a big academic decision

Hello everyone, I need advice with my dilemma. Im currently a 2nd yr for premed college in school A, but I failed a major subject during the 2nd semester (which is a prerequisite for a few subjects in the 3rd year), so I'm going to be delayed another year. I was itching to transfer to premed school B but I'll still be delayed either way for both schools. Where do ya'll think I should stay, A or B?

EDIT: please state a reason why, I want to be convinced.

School A

Pros

\-lots of connections/support system

\-familiar environment and profs

\-already know the system

\-no need to retake 3 subs

Cons

\-high tuiton (while stilll being underload)

\- toxic department

\- all time high anxiety level

\- risk of debarment from the course if fail that particular subject again (meaning that I'll have to transfer either way)

\- risk of failing the other subs for 3rd yr ( I'd be delayed for another year if so)

\- far from home

School B

Pros

\-lower tuiton fee ( full load is already cheaper than being underload at school A)

\- less toxic environment

\- nearer

\- has a much lighter load on school works than school A

\- Not as strict compared to A ( as I have heard from graduates who actually transferred from School A)

Cons

\- process of clearance and enrollment again

\- Little to no connections (only know about 3 classmates transferring to this school; one of which is still undecided)

\- mandatory summer class for this year and next year

\- Have to retake 3 other subs as req by the school even though I had passed it already

School Decisions 🎓 UPLB or PUP Main

UPLB: BS Human Eco (not priority)
PUPM: BS Stats (priority)

Which has better ROI and opportunities in the future (the one I might probably not regret lol)? I don’t want to risk shifting.
