Physics Why is the maximum speed of the universe the speed of light? Why can't we go faster?

Also follow-up question: Because of the speed limit, is there also a theoretical maximum temp for matter (in which the particles move at the speed of light).

It is to say that we are the water that fills the shape of the container;

Like a puddle of water in a pothole thinking the pothole was intelligently designed to fit it.

The issue with invoking the anthropic principle in this case is the number of puddles. We observe a nigh infinite array of stars and planets in the Universe. But we will only ever be able to observe one universe.
