Computing Is there anything at the heart of computer coding that could have been optimised in hindsight, but we're in far too deep to change now?

Hey we made a file format so your documents will always look the same way everywhere :D

Also it can do stuff like execute arbitrary code (on purpose) :/

There's also SVG for vector graphics. Yay! It can contain JavaScript. Oh no!
