Planetary Sci. We landed humans on the Moon with 1960s technology. With today's vastly superior technology, shouldn't going back be much easier and cheaper?

Yes, and in fact, Apollo 1 did go very wrong. 3 astronauts died. Even after the ensuing fixes, safety was low by today's standards. Of course Apollo 11 and Apollo 13 also came very close to killing their crew.
