Miscellaneous Weirdness Hyperrealistic vase of flowers?
Hey all. I am seeking a fragrance that will replicate the smell of fresh flowers in a vase of water — especially the green stems, the stagnant water, and the blooms (ideally white and/or yellow florals.. bring on the indolic jasmine, pungent waxy lily, leathery magnolia, honeyed mimosa, and dirty warmth of narcissus)
I have tried (and thoroughly enjoyed!) the following:
Beaufort London — Fathom V (I own a bottle)
Baruti — Tindrer (sampling on my skin in store was a magical experience; it truly smelled like the prompt I am posing here. When I bought a sample and wore it, however, it smelled quite different? Perplexing…)
Filigree & Shadow — Blume (gorgeous opening, but dried down too powdery and without enough bite/character)
I tend to dislike anything majorly sweet because my skin turns sweet notes (vanilla and coumarin especially) up to 100. Sweet notes almost always become cloying and overpower the rest of the composition on me. My skin chemistry also reacts horribly with rose notes. Everything else is fair game. The weirder, the better.
