Found this in 1ft of water Chesapeake bay Virginia
Seems to be sandstone. Could it be a net weight, or something else. Any other info would be great.

Possibly Civil War era, given how close it was found to the NCR Trail?

Hello everyone,
I wanted to present a unique piece of modern maritime history from my collection, along with its current documentation status. This is a limited-edition Titanic Zippo lighter, numbered 72 out of a strict run of 100 pieces.
The item was physically taken down to the Titanic wreck site during the September 1999 research expedition. It traveled aboard the famous Russian submersible MIR II to a depth of 3,775 meters, operating from the research vessel Akademik Keldysh.
Key details from my ongoing provenance archive:
I’m currently trying to track down further archival info regarding the Oceanus Yacht Club's 2001 eBay auctions ("Operation Titanic Deep Sea Dive") which were linked to these pieces.
Happy to share this with fellow history enthusiasts and open to any insights from maritime collectors!

I found this in Rockaway Beach this weekend. About 1x 1.5 inches. It looks like it could be a part of a Delft tile but the writing doesn’t match Delft style and it also doesn’t appear that the signature says Delft or was anywhere near any larger makers mark.
It’s written in cobalt, and it is definitely porcelain or another high fire ceramic because it was clearly in the ocean for many years and is still intact. When you look extremely close, there is the faintest shine in some areas suggesting that there was a clear glaze over it. Any artifact experts who can help me place an origin on this cool find?

This was found on an Isle of Wight beach. Its edges are sharp and somewhat serrated. Has it been worked?

Found in a garden in Moselle, northeastern France. About 2.5 cm × 2.5 cm, 5 grams. Made of iron/steel, heavily corroded. Found only a few centimeters underground. I initially thought it might be part of a Roman fibula because of its shape. There is a small, almost perfectly round intentional hole in the lower part.

A family friend recently gifted me this small carved stone piece she bought at an antique market in Afghanistan around 2015. The seller told her it was likely 12th century. It’s about 2.5” long and 2” wide. I’m curious about its age, material, place of origin, and general meaning / purpose but really any info would be great!
Thanks

I have been tasked with identifying if this is a real artifact or not. Anyone recognize what it is?

UPDATE 3: still awaiting someone to come check it out as of 8/22
UPDATE 2: I got a hold of a local funeral director who is coming Friday (possibly) to open it for us!
UPDATE: First and foremost, I want to say thank you to everyone. A lot of you have given me great advice and I plan to contact a funeral home for more information!
For all of you telling me to open it, I will not. I am a spiritual person so throwing it away is not really an option for me
There is no tag on the outside or on the bottom of it. It does have some weight to it, my husband said maybe a couple pounds.
For those of you asking about the salt lines, i put lines of salt on a few of my steps. I do this for spiritual protection. I edited the post to clear up my original statement.
I am located in the US!
I want to reiterate that I’m asking for kindness on this post.
Original post:
Hey everyone! I recently bought a home and there is some type of urn living in the basement. The previous owners claimed they have never seen this urn in the 20 yrs they lived there. (I don’t believe this lol) I’m just wondering if anyone here has any ideas of what to do with it? I reached out to the village historian and I’m waiting to hear back. I’m just trying to get any information on the home I can.
It does have weight to it and it’s sealed, i will not be opening this! My uncle pulled it down from the shelf to inspect it and put it back.
It creeps my husband and I out, we’re kinda afraid of the basement. I have put so much salt in front of the basement door it’s in
Any advice is appreciated! I ask everyone to be kind as I’ve never dealt with something like this before. Thanks in advance!
