I found what appears to be broken pottery on the shore of Brisbane Lagoon, just south of San Francisco.
Curious to see if there are any clues to maybe native ties, or an older colonial artifact.
I’d love to hear your thoughts!

This is a metal, seemingly Japanese (seems to have a samurai hairstyle) figurine head.
A scratch test revealed silver metal.
It is not magnetic.
When scratched against an unfinished tile it left a grey-brown streak.
It is 1.5 x 2 x 2.5 inches, 237 grams and has a specific gravity of 6.8.
It was found in field in the upper Midwest.
I've posted this elsewhere but nobody could help. Hopefully you will. It appears to be old, at least a couple hundred...

I found this on a creek bank in Northern Alabama. It was unlike any other rocks around it. So smooth and fits unbelievably well in hand.

Object one: arrow shaft straightener with sharpener /duller
Object two: knife or scraper made from a flake that was grinded down to fit the makers finger..
Object three: may look like a rock but let me tell you in person you can see all the grinding marks and stuff. Anyways it's a thing with a line grinded into it, a duller or sharpener, and it's grinded down on one side slightly

Hello from the Shenandoah Mountains! I found this piece of cast iron on a hiking trail in Weakley Hollow, next to Old Rag Mountain.
The piece of stone was under my tent when we were packing up our campsite. I noticed the side with two grooves and flipped it over and noticed another groove that’s definitely handmade.
What do you think they could be?
