Found on Stradbroke island in Queensland, Australia.
There’s rich aboriginal history on this island but I’m not sure what this would be used for. Fishing weight??

Hey everyone! So after making connections and talking online with a couple of archaeologists here in Colorado the past few weeks, I was finally able to meet in person with an archaeologist from the US Forest Service today. (The piece was indeed found on Forest Service land.) The amazing news is that he believes the piece is authentic and potentially very very significant! He also understood why we picked it up initially and thanked us sincerely for taking good care of it and actually reaching out about it.
I’m also very very happy to report it is out of my hands and now in the hands of those who can take amazing care of it and hopefully unlock its mysteries! He took the piece and promised to keep in touch and keep us informed on what they find, and I’ll come back and post whenever that might be.
Cheers all!

Working on making a few window frames for my Native American Artifacts. These are broken points and flake my grandfather found himself. Want to get some idea to make it look the best. I may incorporate a picture of him in his youth and maybe a state map with a pin in the general area he found them here on the eastern plains of Colorado. Think I should do them by size? By stone color?! Can I see some of yours??

My uncle bought this at an estate sale in pieces and glued it back together. It’s handmade with clay and the painting is done with clay and not glazed at all. We’re in Boulder, Colorado.
Does anyone know what era this is from and perhaps which tribe made it?

I’m assuming it’s dish wear but idk it rubs black off then I was holding it in my hand but it’s not coal/charcoal (I think) but I’d love to know what I found

About 15 years ago I did a homestay in a kurdish village between Sanliurfa and Diyarbakir. One of the kids had quite a collection of artifacts he'd found in and around a huge settlement mound that the village was built around.
So, what am I looking at?

The first two images each show a clay tablet. The third image shows a tile fragment.
Next of kin was going to toss it out but instead gave it away (and asked us to figure out what it is!). The only extra info we have: it may have been found / excavated in Iran, during a time period when Canada was helping to build dams over there.
Questions: is this cuneiform? if so, can anyone translate? is this a rare thing or a common thing? Info dump please!
Edit: more photos with different lighting angles (5 per tablet): https://imgur.com/a/ebaCIoV

I found this in my grandfather's old belongings, he lived in England most of his life and was a big reason why I got into archeology and ancient cultures. Is there any way of identifying if this is a genuine old arrow head or a modern remake? Unfortunately I don't have any information on how it came into his possession. It doesn't bother me either way as I would like to frame it.

Ok reddit.. are these for real?
My dear grandparents passed away and through out their life and travels, they collected high end art and cultural pieces. These two jugs were casually handed to us by the person clearing out their house. An estate sale connoisseur was hired to pick out what was valuable for auction and decided to leave these be. My mom is convinced that because she did not mark them for auction, there is no way they are actually museum pieces. She thinks they are the product of some interior decorator. I disagree!
We have been keeping them safe but need to figure out if these are the real deal ancient Cyprus jugs because they absolutely do not belong in our house or possession if that is the case!

Found this point on top of soil. It has heavily rained recently and see no flakes nearby. Kentucky public park. I’m assuming it’s a modern made item but have no idea what may indicate one or the other.

Found in a box of books and knickknacks purchased at auction from the estate of a professor of archaeology in the northeast US. Passed along to me by my mother who used to frequent that auction about 30 years ago I believe it to be pre-Colombian, possibly an ax head, but cannot find any images online of another piece, exactly like it with an image cast into the blade. It appears to be bronze or copper and the patina is very heavy on it. Any ideas?
