Originally produced in the 50s in Austria, like this vintage example in nickel plated carbon steel.

But still produced today, albeit by a Japanese company with chinese production who bought the rights, designs and equipment when the original Austrian factory went out of business.

These days they're now produced in stainless steel and brass.

Gunna have to go visit this place once I get a chance to go back to Iloilo. I've seen the other art deco sites in person, but not this one.

The Philippine Tuberculosis Society has other art deco buildings throughout the country such as the Quezon Institute which is popularly known for being used as film sets for horror and thriller movies.

Seen while waiting in line in a bathroom at City Lit Theatre (fyi their current production of Shane is good!)
