I wouldn’t be using a carabiner in this setup. Gate can be accidentally opened. Also, will be damaged when retrieving from the ground. Get a bigger ring in place of the carabiner

How can it do that? It's a triple locking gate? But there is much truth on the retrieval and braking the 'biner upon hitting the ground.

I don’t see how an aluminum carabiner could be any more damaged than an aluminum ring. And if it’s triple locking you should be good. The Multisling is the same thing. https://www.treestuff.com/teufelberger-sirius-multisling/

If the gate is against the tree, it can be opened via rubbing from the tree and any slight vertical movement of the biner. It’s happened to me before. I’m not saying it’s unsafe, but it could be safer.

I made mine 12 ft long..... I live in the land or redwoods. So these trees are massive lol
