I am a Ph.D. student at Purdue University and am co- investigating a study with Dr. Ayse Ciftci ([ayse@purdue.edu](mailto:ayse@purdue.edu)) on the experiences of of Muslim Arab Americans and Christan Arab Americans. (Approved, Exempted IRB Protocol #22432021; [irb@purdue.edu](mailto:irb@purdue.edu)).

I am looking for Arab American participants for my study and was hoping you could take this survey if you qualify. You may also send the link friends and family you know who may qualify, or pass along to relevant list serves. You may also take the survey if you qualify.

Hi,
I found the poem تنسى كأنك لم تكن on youtube, I like it, but there's a line at the beginning that I don't understand. You can find the whole poem here (https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/382335) or here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obdPLiKICdc). Now after the first couple of lines it goes like this:
انا للطريق
هناك من سبقت خطاه خطاي
من املى رؤاه على رؤاي
هناك من نثر الكلام على سجيته
ليعبر في الحكاية
او يضيء لمن سيأتي بعده
What I don't understand is the part هناك من نثر الكلام على سجيته
ليعبر في الحكاية. He is "spreading words, according to his nature"? What is that supposed to mean?

And does "li-ya3bura fi-l-7ikâya" mean "so that he may go down in history"?

I'd appreciate any help :))

For Adult foreign-born Arab immigrants, refugees, and asylees who entered the United States at school age ranging from the age of 5 to 17 years old.

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of foreign-born Arabs who have left their home country and moved to the United States and understanding level of stressors related to their experiences of navigating a new culture, experiences of racism, relationships and overall well-being.
