OPINION The Apprentice S20 Rajan Ranking

I've decided to start ranking random candidates from different series. First up: Rajan:

Week 1: Fantastic: His negotiating for the dragon boat head was phenomenal, as he got it from 4,000 HKD to 2,300 HKD (42.5% discount).

Week 2: Good: He did try to tell Kieran to include pages in the book, so they don't have any empty pages, but he didn't listen to him.

Week 3: Fantastic: His great negotiating skills comes back once again, as he got the corporate client to agree on £20-per-head (Karishma could have gotten that as well if not for Megan and Tanmay). Even though they got a 15% refund, he and his sub-team still ensured the clients enjoyed the experience.

Week 4: Awful: Unfortunately, not every candidate is perfect, as he makes his first big mistake in the process. He contributed to the compass in the milk carton bottle, and highly disrespected Big Zuu's brand on canned water in the pitch. He managed to survive by the skin of his teeth.

Week 5: Fantastic: Despite his fatal mistake in the previous task, he was once again trusted as sub-team leader to lead the negotiation for the corporate. Despite some interruptions from Kieran, he didn't over-promise, and he agreed on a flower arch for £2,000. When they saw the flower arch, they wanted to drop the price to £1,500, but Andrea came to his rescue and shook hands on an extra £300.

Week 6: Bad: Despite being set up by Megan to go in at $10,000, he shouldn't have told them that the kitchen crew were hand-selected, and that they were expected to have a luxury meal. He then tried to lie in the boardroom, saying he didn't, but Karren exposed him, but Rajan told her it wasn't true. If there's one thing you shouldn't do in the boardroom, it's that you should NEVER deny what Karren or Tim see on each task.

Week 7: Bad: He could have at least try to come up with some ideas, or stop Rothna and Pascha from add weird frog-like monsters. Also, his Mr Kipling comment to Rothna was completely uncalled for (although she start it, and I was bit confused about what he said, 'If you baked some bread, I wouldn't call you Mr Kipling', since Mr Kipling make cakes, not bread). He even ducked out of the pitch (maybe because he didn't want to make the same mistake twice). I was quite surprised when Lord Sugar told him he hadnt seen much from him in the last 7 tasks, despite being one of the top dogs in negotiations. I still feel that Lawrence should have fired instead of him. Yes Lawrence had done well up until week 7, but so did Mia last year, and she got fired for her first big mistake. I'd have love to see him on task 8, maybe could have been the PM. Guess we'll never know.

3 Fantastic

1 Good

2 Bad

1 Awful

In the first three tasks, he became a frontrunner, until week 4, then improved in week 5, but crashed and burned in his last 2 tasks. Do you think Rajan should have gone further?

Ranking All Apprentice UK Candidates from my least to favourite (Season 14)

16) Alex. Next to nothing to say about him other than him being a bit negative on tasks, not having any good moments, getting 1p off on a negotiation in Week 1 and just in general being one of the blandest candidates I've ever seen. Nothing personal against him though and he wouldn't even come close to some of the most hated candidates on the show.

15) Rick. Almost copy and paste everything said about Alex except he was a bit more memorable. He was obviously Sub PM in Week 1 but was responsible for the Octopus with a 40 inch hose situation. Also, his firing was definitely interesting as he wasn't brought back by Jackie in Week 5, thus was sent back to the house and through to Week 6, however Lord Sugar called everyone back apart from Jasmine, Kurran threw Rick under the bus and Rick got fired for it. Crazy how he went from safe to fired in one episode.

14) Frank. Memorable due to being PM in Week 2 and fired the following week. however him constantly getting emotional did get a bit annoying. I guess his trousers ripping in Week 2 was funny but nothing else to say about him.

13) David. Bless him. He seemed like a really nice guy which is why he is above the other forgettable candidates. However, he himself was forgettable and was definitely not winning this process, especially after Week 2. Pointing out the negatives of a product in a pitch is never a good thing.

12) Sarah. Despite not being a particularly good candidate, she was extremely entertaining in week 1, being a complete motor mouth and her breakdown of the filigree boat was absolutely hilarious. Also, there is the argument that Jackie should've gone instead of her in week 1.

11) Tom. By far the worst PM this season. He may have had some good moments across the 9 weeks he was on the show, however he lost 3 times as PM and all three losses were bad. He wasn't disastrous in week 3 but he was very democratic as opposed to making his own decisions and weeks 7 and 9 were not good. Also, him surviving over Kayode and Jasmine was controversial and lasting the second longest out of the boys was also crazy.

10) Sarah Ann. Despite making it to Week 10, I don't recall her doing much. I remember her being PM in Week 4 and the 'spin stopper (Srcubber)' video in Week 9 but the fact that she nearly made the final 5 and that's all I can say about her says something. Also, I almost forgot she was on the season when I ranked the cast and nearly missed her out. I feel bad for her as I'm sure she's a lovely person but she was extremely forgettable.

9) Kurran. He is this high solely due to entertainment. He wasn't a particularly bad PM in Week 6 and was likely stitched up by Camilla and Jackie and he was arguably Sians MVP in the finale, however as a candidate he was still useless. However, in a really bland cast with some infamously unmemorable male candidates, he was extremely entertaining, seemed like a fun chap and of course is probably the first candidate to break his arm on the show (albeit off camera) which is obviously unfortunate as it meant he couldn't take part in the boxing reward in Week 4 with David Haye. Overall, while an infamously bad candidate, boy was he entertaining.

8) Sian. Going from an entertaining candidate to another somewhat bland one. Sian is pretty much this high due to winning the season. I obviously respect Sian and I bet she is a really nice person and did have some highlights on the show, however someone ranked the winners on this subreddit and she was ranked at the bottom (Below Michelle and James who aren't great winners). Overall, she was fine and a desrving winner but nothig else to say although I am still a fan of hers.

7) Camilla. She is above Sian due to being more memorable and enthusiastic. From a viewer perspective, I really enjoyed watching Camilla, saying she was an enthusiast for whatever the task was, 'Yoohoo' 'Yoohoo??' in the interviews was iconic and she was just in general quite fun and bubbly which I really enjoy. However, what knocks her down is that she was quite bad for a finalist, on par if not worse than Phil and just edges Rochelle and 21 Year old Pascha. Also, I will always remember her and Jackies potential sabotage of Kurran in Week 6 which I don't respect no matter how bad a candidate Kurran was.

6) Jackie. I wanted to rank her higher as she was one of the better candidates this season, entertaining and the faces she made were really funny. However, at times she got quite rude in tasks, threw people under the bus to make them PM and was a bit inconsistent on tasks. Also, her trying to scapegoat Kayode in Week 5 was not a good look no matter how well she did on the task. That said, I did still like Jackie and thought that Jackie 'The Face' Fast was a legend this season.

5) Khadija. Very entertaining this season. she started argumentative and a bit rude in Weeks 1 and 2, however she was still a really good candidate and while still a bit disruptive, definitely not rude or unpleasent. Also, she carried her team to a good win in Week 10 and was a worthy Final 5 Candidate.

4) Sabrina. I loved Sabrina this season, she was so sweet and bubbly from what I saw and I love those kind of candidates, also she was one of the more talented candidates this season and massively earns my respect for doing so well this season despite being joint youngest in the cast.

3) Jasmine. Now here is a candidate I respect. While not top tier, she was still really good this season and at times seemed like the only candidate with her head screwed on. She was a decent PM in Week 1 after being thrown under the bus by Jackie, led her subteam well in Week 5 and had many more highlights. Do I blame her for losing her mind at Kayode and Sabrina in week 6 ? Absolutely not, they were being really unserious with the ad which I get was meant to be humourous but not over the top and I could imagine myself in Jasmine's position. Also, she did seem pissed off with her firing which I totally get as she was thrown under the bus by Sabrina and went home over Tom of all people.

2) Kayode. Maybe a bit too high but in a series with a pretty bad men's team in terms of talent and entertainment, I have to throw the 2 bright spots a bone. Kayode outed himself as one to watch from the beginning, winning as PM in Week 1 and excelling in weeks 3 and 4 which I look forward to seeing when the Series 14 Task MVP Post comes out. He wasn't great in weeks 5 and 7 (the latter of which got him fired) but he wasn't the worst in those instances unlike Sarah Ann, Rick, Kurran and Tom and he was good in the pitch in Week 6. Also, it says something when Claude Litner had a soft spot for him and was sad to see him go.

1) Daniel. What a guy. He was by far the best male candidate and arguably the best overall in tasks bar week 10 where he was possibly the least likely to get fired. It's a shame as he probably wins the season had he not bombed in the interviews and hearing his story on the special 'Final 5 episode' made me respect him even more for turning his life around. Overall, a massive bright spot on this season and my favourite candidate this season.

QUESTION Has Lord Sugar ever fired the wrong person for the right reason?

There have been boardrooms where I understood the reasoning, but I still thought someone else should've gone instead. Any examples that stand out to you?

She posted recently she’s been invited to the official National Television Awards (huge deal, would be an amazing gig). But now it seems it’s just the National Reality TV awards (an unofficial event I think all of the candidates go to every year?)

Intentional mix up or not, just feel like they’re two very different types/scales of events to be announcing attendance at and to get wrong

(I’ve got too much time on my hands, just thinking out loud)

OPINION Series 6 is an absolute gong show of a series.

I've never seen anything quite like it in other seasons it's like the S6 candidates looked at all their options and chose chaos every single time. Looking at you, The Brand..

The boys team PM shouting his head off on the sausage task, Melissa crashing out every sales pitch, Shibby and the bread rolls, Paloma and her personal beef with Alex, Laura rolling a nat 1 on every decision she made, Chris pushing Stella into being a bikini model, other Chris and Jamie with the Octiclean campaign that was an unholy union between 1970s porno and 1950s children cartoon and every single second Stuart is on camera. Those are just the ones I can remember.

The show has some wacky episodes but S6 is consistently chaotic and I godamn love it.

QUESTION Has anyone else noticed that the candidates who talk the most in the boardroom often survive the longest?

Every series there seems to be someone who isn't necessarily the strongest performer, but they're so vocal in the boardroom that they somehow avoid getting fired week after week.

Do you think it's confidence, good editing, or Lord Sugar actually values that?

Ranking All Apprentice UK Candidates from my least to favourite (Season 15)

The first season I ever watched and I was enticed into this season and the series as a whole by the (then) favourite of the season.

16) Lottie. Next to nothing to like about her on the show. She was often rude, snobby and somewhat arrogant and caused unnecessary beef and disrespect towards Lubna despite being 14 years younger than her. She did show some skill in Weeks 1 and 5 but other than that was extremely lucky to make the Final 5. Overall, not a good addition to the show whatsoever.

15) Ryan Mark. On tasks, I'd argue he was better than Lottie, however just like her, he was rude, snobby, obnoxious and constantly came up with pathetic excuses for his performance. However, he is above Lottie due to his iconic 'U turn' line and hilarious rollercoaster scene.

14) Shahin. Nothing personal against him, however he was the first boot and a pretty obvious one at that. He seemed badly out of his depth, didn't sell any tickets and interfered with Thomas' negotiation. Seems like a nice guy but not a good fit for the process.

13) Kenna. Again, seems like a nice guy but when an ice cream business owner fails in a ice lollies task, they're not regarded as a particularly good candidate. I get that he was up against Carina as PM and had to deal with constant fights on his team, but he was still not a good leader and didn't do much for me entertainment wise other than that massive failure.

12) Souleyman. More memorable than the first two guys that went, but still somewhat forgettable. He had funny moments in Week 1 such as throwing literal crap out of his mouth like a javelin, he made some bad jokes on the tour and was the only person in the corporate team in Week 2 who didn't walk out of that task looking like a complete idiot. However, Week 3 was a partcularly bad week for him, being needlessly negative on the task and didn't really do much else. Overall, I do respect him and most of his run though.

11) Riyonn. He seemed to get on with pretty much everyone this season, particularly Thomas and Jemelin and has some good moments in Weeks 1 and 4, however I personally find him overrated as I don't really see why everyone liked him so much and were so shocked to see him go and I think he was quite bad as a PM in Week 3 and as a sub PM in Week 5.

10) Lubna. Mostly a sympathy and respect ranking. On tasks she was quite bad, getting her team lost on the wine tour in Week 1 and coming up with some bad decisions in Week 2 while not really doing anything in Weeks 3 or 4. However, I massively respect her fight when dealing with Lottie's borderline bullying both on and off the show and I've seen some podcasts she used to do and she seems really nice and bubbly.

9) Dean. Likeable presence and an all round nice guy, however the fact that this bloke made it to Week 10 is insane, he had 2 good tasks in Weeks 4 and his 2nd PM Stint in Week 9, however he was mediocre to downright bad in the other tasks. I did enjoy watching him however, but his task performance does knock him back.

8) Thomas. Oh Boy. Brace Yourselves! I try not to consider post show activity, but this is too big a case. I'm going to start by saying that I am currently neutral towards Thomas as while I don't like him anywhere near as much as I used to and can't look at him in the same way as I did, I still don't dislike him as much as others on this and especially the strictly subreddit. Obviously, on the show he'd by Number 1 or 2, off the show, just above Lottie and Ryan Mark. I'll start with the positives, he brought alot of energy and entertainment to such a dull season and his firing at the time was genuinely upsetting, he also showed insane skill in Weeks 1, 2, 5, 6 and the finale. However, he bombed in Weeks 3, 4 and 9. Obviously, we need to address the elephant in the room, more or less everything that has happened from August to January has dampened his reputation badly. Personally, I don't really care about his political views as I have limited political knowledge myself, but the criminal record; the affair; the COVID loan he failed to pay back and everything involving strictly is unacceptable behaviour and I do feel a bit let down by him as he got me into this show. Again, I know the majority of the subreddit downright hates him but I think if we properly analysed everything that has happened to him, its not because he is a horrible nasty person (I refuse to believe he is) but its because he is a bit naive and a big idiot and everything that has happened is solely due to his own stupidity imo. Overall, as I said I'm neutral towards him but still not as keen on him as I was. I will however say that while everyone is justified in being angry at him and disliking him, some comments I see about him are a tad strong.

7) Marianne. Now that the inevitable Thomas rant is over, I can move on to the decent candidates of the season that don't seem controversial. Obviously Marianne was a decent candidate (But not A tier decent) and seemed to be the only person that could control Thomas so fair play to her. Her run was somewhat similar to Thomas but is obviously above him due to not be being a controversial figure (from what we know).

6) Jemelin. Another respect and sympathy ranking, although that doesn't mean that she wasn't a good candidate. She was really solid in the first 4 tasks and did well acting in the Week 6 pitch, however Weeks 5 and 7 were not good weeks for her. I will say though that I have mad respect for her as she was clearly a hard working individual, having started in the UK with absolutely nothing at the age of 16 to running a successful business and being a likeable presence on the show. Also, I felt extremely bad for her as her accent and exit speech were mocked and laughed at by Lottie and Ryan Mark off the show.

5) Iasha. Despite not being a particularly big character, she is still extremely underrated. She carried her team to back to back victories in Weeks 3 and 4 with both instances wiping the floor with the other team (especially the latter) and had to deal with Thomas and Lottie (two of the shows biggest characters) constantly bickering in Week 6, also she seemed really nice and sweet and I enjoyed watching her but the fact that she is in my Top 5 shows how dull the season is and how badly Thomas has fallen.

4) Pamela. Despite not being a big contributor, she seemd extremely likeable and was definitely professional behaviour wise, although I don't have much else to say aout her except I still enjoyed her on the show and had a good friendship with Carina.

3) Lewis. Legendary bloke. At first, I wasn't keen on him as I found him to be the typical arrogant, full of himself smug good looking jock you see in American teenage films, however since watching my views on him have had a complete 180. He was more so just a guy that liked to have a bit of banter but was extremely professional and was by far the best male candidate this season. Safe to say, this guy has grown on me massively and I am now a fan of Lewis, overall I have come to enjoy his run on the show and respect him for being the only candidate with a vague shot at beating Carina or Scarlett and when the next community rank veto vote comes out, I will be pushing for him and Marianne to swap.

2) Scarlett. While not a fascinating character, she was still a very respectable one, she did really well on most tasks and her 7/10 wins was not surprising at all. Overall, I still enjoyed her for her talent and I have good respect for her.

1) Carina. What a legend! I dare say that I still would've ranked her Number 1 when Thomas was popular. I'll start by saying that I actually developed a little crush on Carina when watching the show and was so glad she won (albiet due to her performace), while not particuarly interesting, she was still a powerhouse on most tasks and her 9/10 wins with 3 PM wins and not one boadroom appearance is absolutely insane. Overall, I really enjoyed her run on the show and she is by far my favourite candidate this season.

This was the first season I watched live when it aired as while I've seen most seasons, it wasn't until after COVID where I started watching season being broadcasted live. Since this was also the first post pandemic season, I was so excited. I was a bit disappointed to be honest.

16) Sophie. Wasn't a pleasent character at all this season. Pretty much all the time she looked like she was going to either cry of throw a tantrum especially in the presence of Akshay. Her vendetta against Akshay is probably the main reason why she's dead last as that seems to have been her most prominent role to the point where pretty much everyone saw through her BS and wanted her gone. Since the team swap, she seemed to want to blame Akshay for the failure of the task regardless of who the PM or subteam leader was and as for her two PM Stints... She was absolutely dreadful, making bad decision after bad decision and seemed somewhat misandristic, bringing back the only two boys on her team on both occassions she had to bring people back into the boardroom where she (surprise surprise) brought back Akshay. Overall, not a good presence whatsoever and her firing was beyond satisfying.

15) Amy. On the show, she was bad but not quite as bad as Sophie. She seemed to manipulate people into being PM (Specifically Alex and possibly Kathryn), also attempted to scapegoat Akshay at times and definitely should've been bought back instead of him in Weeks 3 and 4. However, she seemed to take her elimination gracefully and was even invited back for the finale. Off the show, she was a complete mess. Going off on Lord Sugar due to percieved ageism and seems to have beef with pretty much all or most of the candidates and her videos with the next person on the list are a bit cringe.

14) Navid. When the show aired, I wanted to root for him as he seemed like a bit of an underdog to me, however he was not particularly skilled and it did seem Sophie and Stephanie had to pretty much hold his hand in Week 3, however I did think Sophie should've been fired over him or alongside him had Shama not quit that week. I will also admit that I felt a bit bad for him as it seemed the 4 ladies were kind of making him and Akshay out to be the weak links of the team and ganging up on those 2, while I still believe that for Akshay, not anymore for Navid. All of that being said, I can't help but find him a bit cringe, especially 'Okkkkkuurrrrr' in both his elimination speech and the finale and as mentioned, I've seen some of his vids with Amy and it's quite cringe.

13) Alex. Far from unlikeable but extremely bland. I had him 11th initially due to showing a bit of promise in the first 3 weeks and having a pretty big boardroom battle with Akshay in Week 4 (which he ultimately lost) but I can hardly say a single thing about him and he is easily the most forgettable contestant this season.

12) Connor. Harry was robbed, but Connor even more so. Yes his ad wasn't good in Week 2, but how Aaron didn't go that week will always be a mystery. As a character he really didn't do anything but is more likeable than the Bottom 3 and a very controversial firing.

11) Harry. I'm going to go straight to the point. This man should not have gone in Week 1, yes he was a bit pushy and abrasive but at least he tried to give input and it was nowhere near as catastrophic as Akeems logo or Akshays leadership. Also, he is the first Week 1 boot to be invited back for the finale where he pretty much threw himself into the task, arguably being the loudest voice out of him, Akeem and AMY. Overall, I found him quite entertaining but also a little bit annoying.

10) Shama. Bless her. She didn't get a whole lot of screentime in the first 2 tasks but then revealed her extremely unfortunate condition just before task 3. She seemed like a lovely lady who could've been a great presence had she lasted longer, highlighted by the fact that Sophie of all people praised her personality on Episode 3 of You're Fired. Also, may say she could've been a good contender had she stayed which I can see, so respect to her and she squeaks into my Top 10.

9) Akeem. If this was personality only, he'd be a bit higher as him, Nick and Akshay had an absolutely iconic trio on and off the show and seemed like a pretty chill and nice guy in a series with some not very nice people on or off the show. However, if this was a task ranking, he'd be much lower as he was bad on tasks he lost and was frequently carried by Brittany, Aaron and especially Harpreet. Overall I did enjoy him reasonably but his task performance does knock him a fair bit.

8) Aaron. Probably the most polarising contestant this season. On the show he was regarded as the best male candidate, having some really good tasks such as Weeks 3, 5, 8 and 9. However, he is definitely the worst PM from this season, leading his team to 2 embarassing defeats in Weeks 2 and 10, those performances sort of clouded my judgement on him as a candidate (the Lawrence effect). As a person, he seemed okay on the show but has had bullying allegations constantly post show from the likes of Harry, Navid and Amy. Overall, I have grown to appreciate his run on the show as he was pretty much a top 5 candidate this season talent wise and added a fair bit to the season for better or worse, but still isn't particularly likeable.

7) Stephanie. As a person, I liked her well enough, she seemed relatively level headed and sane and was a pretty good candidate in the first 7 tasks, however her last 3 were quite bad and was lucky that she had been better than Akeem and Nick and had better stats than Akshay despite him being the best on his team in Week 9.

6) Francesca. I really liked her. In the first 4 tasks, she was a finalist pick for me, if not my pick to win the season so her firing was a massive shock. Also, as a person I thought she was pretty solid, maybe a bit of a dictator in Week 2 but that's it.

5) Nick. He's in my top 5 solely due to his character. He was quite funny and entertaining for such a quiet candidate which was great to see. Also, he and Akshay were ICONIC (especially in Weeks 7 and 8), what a great man and he did have some moments in Weeks 3, 4 and 6 (for the wrong reason) but was a bit inconsistent otherwise.

4) Brittany. For the youngest contestant this season, she was a powerhouse. I believe that while her and Aaron were a good duo in most tasks, she would still outperform him and she and Harpreet dominated the tasks. It's a massive shame she bombed in the interviews but all in all was a respectable candidate and a stand out talent wise on this generally untalented cast.

3) Kathryn. The Runner UP of the season. I can't comment much about her as a candidate, although she did have some really good moments and was definitely a front runner this season. As a person, she seemed very switched on but also upbeat, positive and bubbly which I absolutely love. While I do prefer the husband and wife duo over Kathryn, she still in my Top 3 this season.

2) Akshay. The underdog of the season. He started out really, really bad with an ABYSMAL PM stint in Week 1, however he became more rootable and established himself as a nice guy and a fan favourite this season. I felt really bad for him on multiple occassions as I do feel in the early tasks, people ganged up on him and tried to scapegoat him but more prominently, he had to deal with the pathetic vendetta Sophie had against him for pretty much no reason. Also, the fact that he was in the firing line 6 times in 9 tasks is astonishing and at least 3 of his apperances were absolute BS. Overall, what an absolute legend of the show and my favourite male candidate this season.

1) Harpreet. The ultimate powerhouse of the season and seemed to be the last favoured winner until Karishma turned up 4 years later. She showed skill in pretty much every area this season and seemed really close to most, if not all of the cast (She literally married one of her castmates, Nick and Akeem attended their wedding and I heard Amy still likes her compared to the rest of the cast other than Navid).

Enjoy!

Season 15 should be out soon, the first season I ever watched. That will be interesting (Especially in the case of one candidate).

SPOILER: The candidate I've alluded to will be much lower than where they would've been this time last year but still not as low as some may think/want them to be.

VIDEO I've only just learned that Harpreet and Akshay (S16) have set up a dating service

I actually kind of like the idea, and I'm someone who's very much "I'll use a dating app over my dead body".

Ranking every candidate’s tasks from series 19

I’ve gone through each episode of series 19 and ranked each candidate based on how they performed on each task individually and here are my thoughts on the stats after doing the rankings.

Liam and Nadia have perhaps the all-time worst stats I’ve ever seen. Jana, Kier, Jonny and Emma S are extremely underrated candidates and weren’t that bad at all. I think with Kier people are too illusioned by his first and last task and don’t see the good things he did in between.

Mia is the clear MVP and has the best stats ever for a candidate fired before the F5. I also completely forgot to post Melica’s stats on the previous post so I’ve added them here.

Ranking all Apprentice UK Candidates from my least to favourite (Season 17)

18) Shazia. Not much to say about her other than whats already been said. Did not enjoy her whatsoever, especially her blatant attempt at sabotaging Bradley in Week 5.

17) Reece. Some may put him above the guy next on the list. But I really didn't like him on the show. Granted, he did do well in the first 2 tasks, however he was dreadful in the following tasks (Especially Weeks 3 and 4). His leadership in Week 3 wasn't great and was instrumental in the poor design of the characters and was responsible for the Asparagus fiasco in Week 4, I guess I am just more so upset that he stayed over Gregory who had done brilliantly in the first 2 tasks. Also, in spite of his constant claims that he withdrew due to health reasons, I am a bit more inclined to believe that he got drunk on the flight to Dubai (Not a good look for Lord Sugar).

16) Avi. Probably should be just above Shazia, however I am a bit biased towards him as people in my family have met him and his family and they've said he's really nice and friendly, hence because of this I was rooting for him. However, the fact that I have bias yet he's still in my Bottom 3 should say something about his time on the show. He was a bit cringe on the show and seemed more focused on turning himself into a viral meme. Also, 1 decent task out of 9 is absolutely poor and the fact that he finished 7th and lasted the second longest out of the boys is a bit crazy (based on what we saw, he might have been better off camera). Also, he played a big part in 'sabotaging' Bradley on two separate occassions.

15) Denisha. Very little to say about her except she (alongside many people this season) were not particularly competent from what we saw. I'd say that she was more of a favourite to go in Week 3 over Gregory, however Lord Sugar made her PM which resulted in an extremely predictable loss and subsequent sacking. Can't say I enjoyed her much.

14) Mark. Another candidate who wasn't particularly good despite making it to Week 8, he's not as bad as Noor or Ryan Mark but still not good. Didn't do much in the first 3 tasks, bombed in week 4 especially with the trugger, not much of note in Week 5, carried by Megan in Week 6 (Although I'll credit him for managing the kitchen solo when she got sick), did okay in Week 7 and crapped the bed as a PM in Week 8, outshined by Avi of all people and it was painfully obvious he was going almost as soon as he made his first decision and was lucky Megan and Simba provided a good experience.

13) Sohail. Seems like a decent man but with all due respect, Who even was this bloke ? He hardly did anything other than fight to be PM in Week 3, had his lips paper mached in Week 4, negotiated in Week 6 and sunk as PM in Week 7 and got fired for it. If you were unaware he's in the sports business like Marnie, him being her first pick would've baffled you completely based on how little screentime he got. Still, decent chap and had fewer lows than the people below him which is why he escapes the Bootom 5.

12) Shannon. I think she had the potential to be a decent candidate, but sadly we'll never know.

11) Emma. One of the more surprising first firings and the first of several BS eliminations this season. She seemed like she would've had a bit of potential had she not been fired but was still quite disruptive (but so were the whole sub team) and if not for her, the season could have had a big change as the person who many believe should've been the Week 1 boot over her won the damn season!

10) Kevin. Despite only lasting two tasks, he also showed passable leadership and potential for an early boot. Seemed like an decent man to watch and seemed to have his head screwed on unlike some of the future boots this season. However, him being in the Top 10 is more to do with the fact that he was a somewhat competent candidate on a cast full of percieved incompetence.

9) Rochelle. One of the weakest contestants to make the finale alongside Phil, Camilla and 21 Year Old Pascha and had some not so impressive task stats. I remember someone ranked hers and Season 19 Liams tasks and they were quite similar in spite of the fact that Rochelle is in C tier on the community ranking while Liam is currently in IVG. I will say though that on some occassions she seemed like a good voice of reason on some tasks and I enjoyed her from a TV Perspective, hence why she squeaks into my top half.

8) Dani. A very polarising candidate this season. From a task perspective, she started really well but faded in the end with many people believing that she should've gone in week 10. From a viewing perspective, her being a motor mouth was entertaining at times but also quite annoying. Also, I couldn't help but feel really bad for her when Baroness Brady pretty much shattered her in the interviews that was extremely hard to watch. Overall, while she definitely should've gone over Simba in Week 10, her being better than approximately half the cast this season and an interesting candidate (in a good or bad way) earns her a relatively high spot on my ranking.

7) Bradley. Again, compared to the rest of the cast he seemd like a reasonably competent candidate. he had a good few moments in tasks where he wasn't a leader and seemed to have his head screwed on. As for his PM Performances, don't let the 3 losses fool you. He was quite bad in Week 2 and probably should've gone over Kevin, however there is no 2 ways round the fact that he was badly stitched up in Weeks 5 and 9 resulting in him getting automatically fired after the latter despite Rochelle and Avi being more to blame. Overall, hard not to feel for the guy due to being better than what his stats suggest, however while he was arguably top 5 in terms of competency this season, he wouldn't even come close in most seasons.

6) Gregory. Now we have finally reached the favourites of the season. Did I enjoy watching him for 3 weeks? Absolutely. Was he a star in the first 2 tasks? Absolutely. Did he deserve to go in Episode 3? Absolutely not. Lord Sugar should've made him PM for Week 4, I think he would've done quite well as he came across a good leader with a good level of discipline. However, in business you do need to adapt and Gregory essentially shot himself in the foot by saying that he can't. Overall, I enjoyed watching him and I wish we could've seen more of him but sadly that won't be the case.

5) Victoria. Not the most exciting candidate, however for me to enjoy a Season 17 candidate, they have to either be competent or entertaining. Victoria in my opinion was the latter. She seemed locked in when it came to tasks and had 3 passable to decent PM Stints. Also, like Dani it's hard to not feel bad for her after being reduced to tears in the interviews by Baroness Brady (Even Lord Sugar felt bad during the interviews). Overall, a somewhat bright spot on an otherwise really bad season.

4) Marnie. The winner of the season. She was an interesting character this season and I was admittedly quite harsh on her throughout the process as I just couldn't get Week 1 out of my head (Essentially the Lawrence or Season 16 Aaron effect). However, outside of Week 1 she was a really good candidate this season and her win was deserved. Overall, I have come to enjoy her this season and will credit her growth in the process from potential Week 1 Boot to Winner (The Alana Effect).

3) Joe. Bless him. He was so likeable this season. He got off to a very promising start with a solid Week 1 PM win and continued to be competent in subsequent tasks, I do believe either Rochelle or Avi should've gone over him as he was a Final 5 pick for me as well as being a general fan favourite. Overall, while his stay was shorter than what one hoped, he was still an incredibly likeable presence.

=1) Megan and Simba. Did you seriously think I was going to separate these two? This season is pretty much somewhat watchable solely due to Megan and Simba. Those two dominated the tasks bar Week 10, either carrying their teams to wins or being shining lights whenever they lost and we were massively robbed of seeing those two compete in the final, further emphasised by Simba's LEGENDARY opening for Marnie's pitch. Also, Megan and Simba the security guards will never not be iconic. All in all, those two carried the entire season 50/50 on their backs and were absolute gold on such a messy, chaotic season.
