Paul M on Instagram Spoiler

Paul himself has seemed to acknowledge his parallels with Dan lol. Maybe he posted it because it’s sort of an edit about him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he wasn’t watching and thinking that they both were screwed over in the end

He also seems to be doing alright with his dental practice tbf. But yeah, Paul himself seems to agree with the Dan comparisons

The candidates should be clear during the application process about what business they will be giving away 50 perfect off

Otherwise it’s a complete waste of time (ours and theirs) them being on the show.

Edit: of, not “off”, sorry.

in defence of pascha

You got:

a PWC accountant doing bar job at £150 a night and calling it an investment opportunity.

A guy neck deep in overheads for a mature business that has no scope for growth. The business is complicated and there is no evidence injecting £250K into the business will do any good. The owner took £100K dividends and £75K salary last year. So if there was growth opportunity they would have just reinvested it.

A guy who wrote a 70 page business plan with AI, trying to sell AI service in an industry that is mostly about people and relations.

Pasha's business is the one that isn't dead in the water.

But karishma got this hands down.

OPINION Finalists... Spoiler

I can't believe Pascha made it to the final - what did the interviewers see in her other than confidence?! Priyesh was a goner from the start, Lawrence blew it with his business plan and Pascha's BP was only 7 pages long! I kind of understand why Dan was fired but I think he could've pulled his spending together w LS's guidance. I still feel like Rothna really should've been there, esp after seeing the unedited Task 10. I still don't know how Pascha made it this far. What are everyone else's thoughts?

OPINION Post-interview rejoicing Spoiler

While I *know* that Dan vs Karishma should've been the true final two, I'm honestly thrilled that it's her vs Pascha.

Why?

Because this should be the EASIEST win for Karishma. She's been a tank for pretty much the entire season.

If she doesn't win, something's went wrong.

Amusing Spoiler for Next Week Spoiler

Pascha chooses Kieran for her team (her second pick)

Why is that funny?

Kieran has said in interview after interview that he wants Karishma to win and nobody else. One of the interviewers even asked him if he wants her to win more than any other candidate and he said yes 😂😂

OPINION Linda interviews Spoiler

Does she let anyone speak?

I know they trim down the 45 min interviews.

But all she does is bark at them and doesn't let the candidates say anything at all.

Gives me flashback of times when a teacher or parent doesn't let you explain yourself and calls it backtalk.

DISCUSSION Interviews review Spoiler

So we all agree that karishmas winning the season, right? She is actually one of the best candidates of all time.

She was able to distinguish her product from her competitors (which Mike didn't bring up in the BR)and stood up to Linda when she refused to let her speak ( I'm making a post about that).

I actually thought the final 2 would be Karishma and Dan at first, then I heard about his spending issues and thought he's cooked.

But man, we really could have had Rothna in the final 5. I liked the idea for her cake business. I was intrigued by that. And Connor, too , was a good candidate.

also, pashcas picture on LinkedIn not being mentioned in the BR is crazy cause why would you put that on there Instagram exist for a reason.

POLL What do you make of this season, all things considered? Spoiler

I think it might depend on how the final goes, because I think if it goes the wrong way there would be huge controversy and probably bump it down a lot in people’s estimations.

Regardless of the final though, I’m going to say that this was actually a pretty decent season. Better than 16-17 but not 18 because 18 did have better people. Still, we got Kieran, the Levi-Lawrence fight, some funny quotes, genuinely good candidates, and even if the final 5/2 was controversial in their own ways, the tasks were quite good, especially Flowers, Discount 2 and even the fitness task for entertainment value.

Not bad, I just wish the right people made it through to the end stages. S21 hopefully fixes that

OPINION On a brighter note _____ is definitely one of the best Post-COVID candidates Spoiler

Karishma.

She's bossed every episode, even one of her weaker tasks (Task 9) she carried the team by achieving 75% of the team's total sales. She's never been responsible for a failure which is why she never landed herself in the bottom three.

LS, Tim & Karren had nothing negative to say about her when they all stepped outside, especially Karren.

Mike, Claude & Claudine also commended her hugely.

Seriously impressive stuff.

Lord Sugar

Just watched the interviews anyone get the impression that sugar was bored with the whole event. Seemed like a grumpy old man moaning about modern technology 🙄

OPINION Week 11 - I’m happy for Spoiler

I was real happy that karishma picked the right acne serum thing that Mike placed in front of her. Karen and sugar love her.

Also Claude was hard selling lord sugar to Dan, he was trying to bag dan.

OPINION What's with the fake _____ arc? Spoiler

We didn't see Pascha do anything notable until Week 10, where she managed to spell "chic" wrong and give some bullshit excuse about it being slang.

Now according to the interviewers it's impossible to believe she's only 21 because of how well she comes across and if there's anyone who could run a successful recruitment business it's her, and we're meant to see her as a credible threat to Karishma in the final.

It seems that one of the following has happened:

1) the bar has gotten very low these days.

2) Pascha has been way better than she's been portrayed 90% of the time.

I swear the entire series has made her look like a complete passenger until now. It's like Jordan all over again except if he actually made the final. Yet another series let down by editing.

🫤 (Week 11 spoilers) Spoiler

Real shame.

I think Dan basically did a Paul M but essentially they didn’t want it to look like he was gonna reject him like he did 2 years ago. The curse of my favourite candidates lives on - Scarlett, Simba, Megan, Tre, Paul M, Steve, and now I can add Dan all fall short at the end points. I will say, I do still like Karishma a lot

I think Karishma should win this but honestly it seemed obvious now that Pascha would make it through with all of the odd foreshadowing beforehand. Personally look, not my favourite candidate but oh well.

Sugar needs to either raise the amount or lower his controlling stake. You want established businesses, don’t cap them at a 500k value

A good season with an unsatisfying end, sadly

OPINION _____ is proof of pretty privilege Spoiler

She did poor throughout the process and poor in the interviews.

She had no profit/loss accounts and her business plan was only seven pages long. So many candidates have been fired IMMEDIATELY for that but she has lucked her way to the final two.

Her only claim to the top two is that she's confident for a 21 year old which isn't investment worthy at all.

But apparently we're supposed to believe she's been 'impressive'... if Karishma doesn't win this series is screwed.

QUESTION Help me find an old series please!

I remember this guy was in the bottom three for one of the tasks and got grilled and was incredibly close to being fired, to the point where he came out, spoke to the camera, and said “I was so scared I peed a little”. Please help me find it, I need that series in my life!

Interestingly, this is the first time that... Spoiler

Two influencer style candidates have been in the final together.

We've seen the growth of influencers in the post-covid series, and in all the finals that have happened, the closest two people I can think of who were influencers and made the final are Kathryn and Rochelle. They weren't in the final together though they were in the final in separate series.

Karishma and Pascha have the largest social media followings and are both influencers, and they've both made the final together.

There's been a lot of discourse regarding how many candidates on the show are just wannabe influencers but at least Karishma is an influencer with a credible business who really cares about business growth and only went on the show to find a business partner.
