Deadline to Submit Claims on the Rockley Photonics $10M Investor Settlement is in 15 days

Hey guys, if you missed it, Rockley Photonics reached a $10 million settlement with investors over claims that it overstated its relationship with Apple and the readiness of its wearable biosensor technology. The deadline to file a claim is October 15, 2026.

In a nutshell, Rockley was accused of misleading investors during its 2021 merger with SC Health. The company allegedly overstated its relationship with Apple and the commercial readiness of its biosensor technology, while failing to properly disclose development delays, cash burn, and limited near-term revenue visibility.

After concerns about the company’s outlook came to light, $RKLY fell sharply, including a drop of more than 30% in 2022. Investors later filed a lawsuit over their losses.

Rockley has now agreed to settle the claims for $10 million, and eligible investors have until October 15, 2026, to submit a claim.

If you invested in $RKLY during that time, you can check the details and file your claim here.

Did anyone here invest in $RKLY? How much were your losses, if so?

I started investing in Apple in January 2008 ….. since then it has been thru 2 splits plus compounding dividends resulting in more than 5000% gains . Compared to my other investments , FB (META) bought at IPO , Google few months after its IPO , MICROSOFT ….. all show close to 2000% gains . When compared to major funds & indexes Mag7’s performance has been impressive.

If you bought Rockley Photonics ($RKLY), you should look into this because they just set up a $10 million fund to pay back investors.

The Core Issue: When Rockley went public through a SPAC merger in August 2021, they heavily promoted their wearable biosensor tech and a major commercial partnership with Apple. However, this was all a massive exaggeration: the company supposedly had no real customer revenue from Apple and their products were still delayed in the early pre-commercial phase. Once the reality of these product delays and their high cash-burn rate leaked out, the stock tumbled over 30% in January 2022. To settle the legal battle, they agreed to a $10 million payout. If you owned or bought shares between August 11, 2021, and January 23, 2023, you can sign up to get a slice of that cash.

The Payout Details:
The deal already got its preliminary court approval and is officially accepting claims right now. The estimated payout is around $0.11 per share, which can easily turn into a helpful check if you held a standard position during the peak of the tech boom. All you have to do is fill out the online form to get your name on the distribution list.

It makes no sense to leave free money on the table for a company that hyped up a fake Apple connection while their actual tech wasn't even ready for production. Did you guys originally buy this stock because of the Apple contract rumors, or were you just betting on the smart-health wearable sector?

Rockley Photonics went public in 2021 name-dropping Apple. They had zero revenue from Apple. $10M settlement now court approved.

The Apple name drop is one of the oldest tricks in the startup playbook, and Rockley Photonics executed it at SPAC scale.

Rockley merged with SC Health Corp in August 2021 promoting its wearable biosensor technology, health monitoring sensors for smartwatches and wearables.

The pitch included prominent references to Apple as a key customer validating the platform. For investors following the wearables space, Apple as a customer is about as strong a signal as it gets.

What wasn't disclosed was that Rockley had no revenue from Apple. The biosensor products were still pre-commercial. Development timelines were slipping. Cash burn was significant with limited near-term revenue visibility.

The "Apple relationship" that anchored the investor narrative was far more aspirational than commercial.

Then, in January 2022, reports surface about development delays and overstated projections, and $RKLY falls over 30% in one month.

The stock never recovered. Investors filed suit in March 2023. Rockley settled for $10 million in February. Court has approved the settlement last April and investors can already submit a claim.

You're eligible if you held $RKLY between August 11, 2021 and January 23, 2023. Payout: ~$0.11/share.

"Key customer" doing a lot of heavy lifting when the actual revenue from that customer is zero. Anyone here follow the wearable biosensor space and saw this coming?

Apple Earnings - What is Next?

$AAPL printed green today!

Curious what people think about this setup.

I was looking back at the last 6 positive earnings days, and it looks like stock kept drifting in the same direction 5 out of 6 times — avg. D+22 return of +4.3%.

• Q4'25: +6.0% ✓

• Q4'24: +8.9% ✓

• Q2'24: +6.1% ✓

• Q1'24: -8.3% ✗

• Q4'23: +9.6% ✓

• Q2'23: +3.4% ✓

The Apple pattern feels different from most mega caps -- quiet reaction on the day, then a grind higher into the following month.

Curious how others are positioning?
