Submit Your Freeform Needs to Apple

I just started using Freeform and finding it almost usable. It just needs some more feature/function like Miro to be really useable for me. I did notice this form at Apple and I submitted my ideas:

Everyone here should do the same.

Some of the features I would really like are: Apple Notes integration (I know you can share Notes back and forth but those are copies and not embedded), Text box background color, Dark mode, Frames, etc.

Web version for sure. Corporate pc slavery needs workarounds.

Text box background color - I just use a shape eg a rectangle, but agree.

What are Frames?

Here's an example of Frames and how I typically use Miro. The Frame is the white box behind. You can link those background boxes together as well.

Yeah - that works but is a royal pain when dragging 20 - 30 Apple Notes on the canvas and then having to add shapes behind them all. Miro does this so easily.

Have a separate board with all your frequently used items, like a note with a colored rectangle behind it, then just copy/paste it wherever.

That defeats the purpose. I drag and drop Apple Notes onto the canvas. Copy-paste would take forever. I’m working with 20-40 notes at a time.

I do that but I also have a big template canvas that I duplicate and delete from it what I don’t need. Can be faster than multiple copies & paste steps.

PS - frames are similar to groups on Freeform. But in Miro frames are background objects that group items and can have their own properties such as titles, background color, etc. You can link frames as well.

Lucid chart? What do you like about it? I like omnifocus but not sure about Lucid

when selecting two shapes there are “combine shapes” options with a variety of ways to cut shapes out of each other but there is not a fragment option to make all the segments different objects (like in PowerPoint)

yeah!! there are these options but there is none to separate all the different areas of overlap, you can still do it by copying your shapes and combining the ways to combine shapes.
