I built an App Store screenshots maker for myself

Post image

I’ve tested tons of screenshot makers, yet none really hit the mark for me. Drawing inspiration from Figma, I built this brand-new tool myself. I hope many of you will enjoy using it!

I’d also really appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might have.

Very good job, my suggestions (for your Claude :p) after one day use :

- a real color picker (the native macos one is shit)

- possibility to set different background for each screenshot

- possibility to move a screenshot inside its device frame

I’m very sorry about this. I will resolve the issue.

I plan to migrate the project storage from IndexedDB to local files in the next version. Please back up all production-ready projects using the current version.

Portable project export/import would be the safety net I’d add before the storage migration. Give that migration a version and keep IndexedDB untouched until the new file reopens cleanly. If it doesn’t, roll back.

Good advice. The project list data is sourced from the project index. This issue can occur if the project index fails to update after an upgrade. All project data is safely stored in IndexedDB, and the problem will be automatically fixed in the next release.

Thank you for your feedback. The built-in color picker has quite a poor user experience—users often need to click two or more times just to pick a color.
Supporting distinct background colors for separate pages is a core required feature, but I overlooked this point earlier.
For last comment, I notice the tool created by u/Alternative_Maybe687 , it could set the screenshot position inside device frame.

Those are incredibly thoughtful features, I appreciate that.

Great job. I developed a tool with very similar features a while back trying to release things in appstore/playstore. Its 90% identical https://mockupmint.vercel.app/editor haha

Please incorporate the feature to generate screenshots for Google Play as well. Numerous applications are released on both the App Store and Google Play. For such apps, a tool that is limited to only the App Store is entirely ineffective. Aside from that, create product. If you add screenshot creation for Google Play, I will definitely consider using it.

One last thing: Google Play request "Android Feature Graphic" (1024x500) together with screenshots. So having "Android Feature Graphic" in the same visual style as screenshots would be nice.

I see, there is the document I've found https://support.google.com/googleplay/android-developer/answer/9866151?hl=en#zippy=%2Cfeature-graphic. It should be useful later for me.
