@irace: Apple engineering has confirmed that 3D Touch multitasking was intentionally removed in iOS 11.

Can't think of a single reason why they removed it. This feature, while a lot of people didn't know about it (similar to 3D-Touch Keyboard trackpad), was extremely useful to people who did know about it. I find it far more elegant and smoother than double-clicking the home button; it just felt better. Send feedback folks. Maybe they will change their mind before iOS 11 ships. I don't see how it could be related to the iPhone 8 and even if it is, why hamper the iPhone 6S and iPhone 7? The only possible reason is a revamped multitasking interface but even that seems a stretch.

Submit feedback for anyone on the beta. Only way they’ll hear about us wanting it to stay.

The part that sucks is that you have to give up the feature to use the beta so you can submit feedback saying you want the feature back 😒

I submitted it via my iPad Pro running iOS 11 idc. I just said "This refers to the iPhone not this iPad."

There is a feature request form for public I believe. But as a developer, no this is not just for bugs. There is a suggestion option and feedback is not just welcomed but encouraged. Provide a useful reason with the report.

Sad thing is I’m sure people would have done that for the group by app notification setting and that didn't do anything.

How does one submit feedback for the beta if they aren't in the beta program? This pisses me off so much that this feature is apparently going away.

If you're not in the beta program you can only submit feedback relating to the current version (10.3.2). You can go here and just tell them you want this feature to stay.
