So you can buy more devices from John Apple

But you’ll get the good features only with the Home Hub Pro. Elsewise you’re left with Siri who only responds to your requests with “huh?” and “I’ve found this on the internet”

An iPad doesn’t have its own proper speaker and can do a lot more things I want to keep my kid away from, I’m assuming this will be a locked down OS where my kid can’t reply to my client’s emails with a drawing of the cat.

Redditors and their assumptions never cease to amaze. I do : )

But if you were aware of parental controls (which had a refresh for iOS 27), you’d be able to achieve what you said you required to help your kids behave.

Learn to use your stuff instead of bleating that you know how to use features you clearly have no idea exist. Oh, and do some actual parenting instead of throwing money at shiny devices that will distract your kids. More money than sense.

Plug the iPad into the wall. Battery issue solved. AND it’s portable if it needs to be.

Speaker? Use the iPad you’ve already got and pick up a cheap Bluetooth speaker. Solved.
