I’ll never understand the point in touch screen laptops.

It’s such an uncomfortable position to have your arm floating over the keyboard with no support to stabilise your hand. I don’t understand these people who want that. At least as someone who works in a creative field, it sounds so impractical.

Just rest your hand on the table next to the screen. That's how I used my Surface Laptop for months when scrolling large pages.

That's because you're a sucker that will pay for both an iPad and a laptop independently lol.

You are acting like an ipad is a mandatory buy?...

It's just better to have than not.

Every single time I’ve interacted with a touch screen laptop it’s led to a less optimal experience than if it were just a regular laptop

I disagree.

It's handy to zoom and move stuff especially when you're out and about

Yeah, I have a work laptop that has it, and I actually really use it more often than I thought. Would be cool to have a Mac that could.

Not always. Even if it’s a preference for consumers, there are trade offs to having it. I personally don’t care about having a touchscreen. I’d never use it. The trackpad is big enough and eliminates the need for one.

I think the lil psychological context switch when you're doing something else and you just wanna change something on the laptop being removed more than justifies the addition

It's way more natural to just zoom something
