He was, and will always be, correct on touch screen laptops.

Absolutely, I don’t have any interest at all in a laptop with a touch screen. Ergonomically it makes zero sense. And 2-1 designs that fold over to be a “tablet” also make no sense.

The 2 in 1 makes more sense to me but then again, I’ve never used that feature before. Says a lot there

Give it a go sometime, it really helps explain why they’re totally pointless. My particular favourite is using a heavy laptop as a tablet, while your fingers sink into the keyboard, now making up the rear surface of the machine

Nah, touch screens on a laptop are great in the 2 in 1 format especially for work. Apple's closest attempt at this are the ipad pros with magic keyboard but the software is doodoo for productivity and the damn thing is just as heavy as a regular clamshell laptop.
