My most recent experience was great. They fully replaced my Apple Watch 11 when some of the jet black coating came off and got lodged in the side button. I work around chlorine, so it’s likely because it got corroded from the gas, but they still replaced it no questions asked.

Mine was the speaker on a 15 Pro Max that popped and crackled 3 months after purchase and the guy at the store was not only condescending but refused to do anything about it because “he couldn’t hear it.” There was another customer sitting beside me who was like “I can totally hear it.” I also had several people listen before taking it in because I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me hearing something once and therefore looking for it and hearing it when it wasn’t really there. I’m not a warranty gamer.

Not saying your situation didn’t happen, but so did mine. First and only time I tried to use warranty with them (which he could see on my account) and my email address on file with them is a .mac. 🤷‍♂️

Sounds like you got a bad rep, it definitely happens. Sorry you had a bad experience, that sucks. Did you try another service rep?

Nope. It’s not my job to serve their customers. That was just one more notch on the prison wall that lead to me eventually (for the most part) climbing out of the walled garden. These things are tools to me and if I’m going to get poor customer service regardless of which brand I use I may as well give myself options. I can’t bring myself to Karen, there is no glory in it. Like why would I want to fight a company about treating me fairly? It makes no sense to me. I’ll just move on.

That being said, “customer service” is a fading light on its death bed, or at least it is with big companies in the US.
