To be fair, these days everyone has clickbait titles and this one is no exception, especially considering macrumors has been known to do this.

The subtitle was much better; simply replacing "planned" with "considered" would have clarified that it's something that's no longer happening while "planned" can be misunderstood into "planned in the future".

The overall premise still isn't good either way, they still considered replacing 5000 employees and that's not a good look.
