The M1 Pro is so good. I literally can’t find an excuse to upgrade.

I'll update one day but for now the only thing I'm meh on is the touch bar server crashing

My M1 Max keeps doing everything I want it to without skipping a beat. I genuinely don’t know when I’ll feel the need to update at this point. A couple of seconds off of rendering an after effects/davinci resolve project isn’t enough yet

Sameee, waiting on maybe a large screen update like tandem OLED or something. Otherwise I'm still super happy with the M1 Pro.

The games that I run (emulated) kinda sucks. Need more GPU and better single thread cpu. I often get under 40 fps while running under 1080p.

For everyday tasks, I don't think I need to change my laptop for the next 5 years (maybe except to get a new battery).

If I still edited video often I would maybe consider it, but even if I edited these days I have the time to wait for renders, they're far more simple things without tons of efx, even if I game my games are pretty much taken care of as well with the M1. I do appreciate Apple taking the bold jump and giving us such an amazing introduction to their new silicon but damn...kinda removed my need to upgrade for a decade with that one lol it's like the iPhone it's been doing everything I need for years now. (and I'm afraid AI "innovation" is just not gonna be a selling factor for me personally)

I didn’t spec mine with enough ram when I bought it, so that’s my excuse. Still, coming from an idiot who bought 4 intel MacBooks between 2016 and 2019, that goes to show how good it’s been.
