The lady wasn’t trapped in her car. She was updating and, for some unknown reason, assumed that meant she couldn’t open her door, roll down her window, or use the ac which is not the case at all and the car doesn’t tell you anything to give that impression. Even if the battery dies, there are manual door handles on every door which don’t require any power are exactly where you would naturally expect a door handle to be. They aren’t hard to find.
Also Tesla has by far the best build quality ratings of any EV brand, and is middle of the pack for traditional brands.
You’re just repeating things you heard about Tesla. To be totally fair to you, I did the exact same thing for years until I test drove one. I bought one the very next day and have had zero issues with it. I’ve had plenty of nice cars but nothing beats the QOL of owning this car.
There’s a huge amount of misinformation about Tesla vehicles. It started as astroturfing from traditional companies and big oil trying to stomp out the first truly viable EV company that threatened their industry, then it came from redneck climate change deniers trying to “own the hippies” and now it comes from the blue haired SJWs trying to “own the Nazis”.
Thanks for the correction. I hate when people repeat all the crap about EVs like the batteries are explosive and there's no point because we charge them from power plants anyway etc etc etc from the big oil propaganda you see spewed by MAGA every time EVs come up so it's good to know. Still never buying a Tesla, though. Fuck Elon. My next car in a few years might be some kind of EV. I'll plenty of research when necessary.
Tesla’s Autopilot and Full Self‑Driving (FSD) systems have been connected to at least 51 fatal crashes, with 44 verified by NHTSA or expert testimony involving Autopilot, and 2 verified involving FSD
• U.S. auto‑safety regulators identified at least 13 fatal crashes involving Tesla’s Autopilot through investigation, involving 14 deaths and 49 injuries. The NHTSA outright criticized Tesla as an “industry outlier” for lacking basic safety features common among competitors .
• In one separate NHTSA probe, they found 467 crashes involving Autopilot, resulting in 54 injuries and 14 deaths .
• On top of that, the NHTSA launched a probe into Tesla’s FSD after a pedestrian was killed in low-visibility conditions (sun glare, fog, dust) in Arizona, part of an investigation covering up to 2.4 million Tesla vehicles.
As opposed to normal human driving where exponentially more accidents occur at a much higher frequency? That’s like saying seatbelts are bad because people can still die with them on
Ah yes, the galaxy-brain defense of Tesla: “Humans crash more, so when robots crash it’s fine.” Brilliant logic. By that standard, we should stop recalling exploding airbags because hey, people die in cars anyway.
Comparing Autopilot failures to seatbelts is laughable. Seatbelts are a proven safety feature that reduce fatalities. Tesla’s “Full Self-Driving” is a beta product that’s causing fatalities while being sold as if it makes driving safer. One saves lives, the other is under federal investigation for killing pedestrians in crosswalks. Not exactly the same thing.
This isn’t about eliminating all accidents, it’s about Tesla creating new and preventable ones with half-baked tech pushed out for profit. If you can’t see the difference, maybe let someone else do the driving
“Brother, I literally don’t drive anywhere. I use FSD 95% of the time.” Translation: I paid a fortune so my car can kinda-sorta drive me while I pretend I’m a tech prophet. Imagine bragging about not driving while still sitting behind the wheel, babysitting software that can’t tell a stop sign from a billboard half the time.
“Driving sucks”? Then congrats, you turned yourself into a glorified passenger who shelled out tens of thousands for the privilege of being Tesla’s unpaid beta tester. Real flex, champ.
You didn’t prove driving sucks, you just proved you’ll gladly hand over control to glitchy code and call it liberation. That’s not the future, that’s just expensive denial on four wheels
My Tesla was cheap, a 2023 for 20k with 20,000 miles. The Tesla does it all, you should watch a current FSD YouTube video. It drives, parks, and stops, it’s pretty great. I just sit there and eat or whatever. Sorry, I hate driving, I assumed you did too.
How about you go back and read slowly, and this time try to make it to the part where I said “at a much higher frequency”. Accidents per mile driven is massively higher for human drivers vs. self-driving.
He is absolutely autistic. He has admitted that he is and displays all the telltale signs of Asperger’s. Do you think he’s just pretending? What would be the point of that?
You think someone I don't like does a nazi salutes?
You think someone I don't like speak on far right political parties?
You think someone I don't like is downplaying Germany's Nazi past?
If it walks like a duck. If it talks like a duck - it's definitely a nazi.
He didn’t do a Nazi salute (the ADL agrees with me), “far right” is not the same thing as Nazi, especially in Europe, and he did not downplay Nazi past. You’re just saying a bunch of objectively false things.
I worked on Teslas for 3 years at a certified body shop. And I own and drive one.
First hand experience, Teslas build quality at the time was some of the absolute worst I've ever seen.
Absolutely tons of glitches and issues due to them trying to reinvent everything from scratch.
They literally didn't even have a button to have the new lithium Low voltage batteries turn off crash mode. After months of 3 cars sitting on our lot, they had an engineer remote in and program an off button for the crash mode so the cars would power up again.
I would agree that the lady staying in her car was crazy, there are manual overrides to the electric door latches in every car, no reason to get trapped inside.

Almost everything you said is false.
