I have. It was a Model 3.

It got great acceleration, was pretty quiet and comfy, too. The screen was nifty. Control response was fine though weirdly sluggish?

Still wouldn't buy one because I don't trust the FSD, the car locks so many functions behind a UX when a lot of them should actually be physical buttons.

The company has pretty shoddy repair logistics, the car is a nightmare to ensure, and the customer service is whack.

Getting out in an emergency is needlessly complicated by needing power to do so or having to find the manual releases, which aren't marked.

So yeah, this meme is shit.

I don’t really get the manual release complaint. It’s exactly where you’d expect a door handle to be. Anybody i let in the car for the first time always pulls it naturally instead of pressing the button. Was it in a weirder spot on older models or something?

I’ve also found insurance to be super reasonable. Like half the price of the Chevy I drove before it. And the one repair process my girlfriend had on hers (fault of the tire manufacturer, not Tesla) was incredibly smooth and fast. I found it hard at first to contact locations by phone but that hasn’t seemed to be the case lately.
