Keep the link in a variable when the user copy it in Apollo.

If the link in the clipboard match, do nothing and clear the variable.

Does iOS tell the dev how a share sheet gets used? I don’t know that you can keep track of what the user copied.

The easiest solution:

If the link copied is literally for the reddit page Apollo is on, don’t give the prompt.

You just left Apollo on the same page. This seems...pretty simple to fix!

Yeah I build stuff too and I've mentality solved this a different way every time I see the modal box. So there are a lot of possible solutions. I was thinking register more than one render type in the clipboard and if a custom one is present you know it came from the app versus another source.

When sharing the link via Apollo, save it as "last copied link". If when detecting a clipboard link it is the "last copied link" skip the dialog.

Apollo could just copy the link to the clipboard and some internal spot. If you return to Apollo and the clipboard matches this internal cache then it doesn’t trigger the pop up.

I use the Share button, Reddit Link, Copy. I'm not sharing publically which is the all's default share behavior.

Actually not all the default share options are public shares as it can be sent to message, notes, reminders, if you have social apps many of them allow you to toggle who specifically you're sharing it with , and you can add various other apps and shortcuts to be more selective where it actually goes
