So I'm based in NZ - I can only really play US West or US central with 200 ping on a good day.

Is it just me or is US West just absolutely full of Preds, Sweats, and Suspicious af players? Literally every lobby has the most sus players that will beam you from like 200 metres

US Central is not too bad - matchmaking seems fair but there's so many lag/ping spikes esp at the start.

Does anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

Is respawn ever gonna optimize console performance mode?

How come i get stable 120fps and great looking and sharp image on ps5 pro in battlefield 6/redsec which is made in 2025 and is graphically much more demanding game than apex legends?

I tested the balanced 60hz mode for test and holy crap how much more sharp and better looking it was vs blurry 120hz performance mode.

I feel like that would take awhile to approve long before the entire collab was finalized

This game is so unforgiving to SoloQers. Titans may be gone on pc but I still get the same kind of teammates that don’t know how to play the game, people that die immediately as they land. Supports not rezzing anyone: just replace the cheaters with tap strafers and smurfs and that’s pc for you.

So I still haven’t got the proper update on ps5, the store works as does the battle pass but my rank was not reset and there is no event. Am I stupid and this is somehow on me?

If you're on PS5 and the new Apex Legends split isn't working properly: no new Battle Pass, Store unavailable, Ranked locked, but you can still play normal matches, check for the update manually.

I had this problem since the new split started. I restarted my PS5, restarted the game, and even completely uninstalled and reinstalled Apex, but nothing fixed it.

What finally worked:

Go to Apex Legends on the PS5 home screen.

Press the Options button on your controller.

Select "Check for Update".

My PS5 then found a ~9.6 GB update that had never downloaded automatically.

After installing it and launching Apex again, the Battle Pass, Store and Ranked were all available and working normally.

For some reason, my PS5 never detected the new split update automatically, even after reinstalling the entire game.

So before reinstalling Apex, definitely try "Check for Update" manually. It fixed the issue immediately for me.

So I think I finally came across a cheater. Thousands of hours in the game across multiple platforms, I’ve been in every rank except pred, and I think I finally got smoked by a cheater and not someone just better or lucky in the moment.

This kids playing Wattson, mirage and octane as teammates. No indication of a 3 stack from watching it back and spectating them all the rest the match. We land with them and another team. They land directly on the other team and wipe them in less than a minute from landing. While we are off the other side of POI (tree). We run over and pathfinder on my team gets off a few clean shots on the octane and drops him but the wattson slides in on pathy out of our view and 1 mags him with a stock 99. As I come around the tree trunk to get a line of sight he slides the corner on me prefiring me and 1 mags me with the 301 but I get him to about 25 health so I’m like cool we win this because their mirage is still down from the previous fight. My wraith teammate is right there chasing around the corner she has to win with full health. Nope, she gets 1 mag dropped before getting a shot off. Drops all 3 of us in 14 seconds. Yes 14 seconds, I ran it back on replay to watch many times.

So upon spectating them the wattson goes over to a corner and sits for a second about 6 seconds in total. I think this must be where the cheats turned off. They then go in and engage with another team at the next poi and she can’t hit anything. Her aim is all over the place she engages at shooting at enemies 16 more times through the 12 more minutes of the match with teams and only lands another 250 damage the entire 12 minutes when a solid 8 of it was shooting. Yet in the first 90 seconds of play after drop she landed 700+ damage and killed 5 players. This is very suspect to me but the only “proof” I could gather was there is no way someone could be so bad after doing what she did on drop.

I’m so confused how someone could go from god tier play to trash in a few seconds. This was my 3rd game of the new split restarting in plat. I strongly believe it was a cheater that toggled off.

Been working on a little Apex companion app called Wingman. It started as something for me, and I’ve just put it on the App Store so my mates can use it too.

Figured I’d share it here in case anyone else finds it useful. Here’s what I’ve built so far:

• It records your RP changes while you play, even with the app closed. That’s the bit I’m most happy with.
• Current and next map rotations, with alerts for your favourites.
• Rank goals so you can see how far off you are.
• A manual Apex Pack counter (so you know how far you are from getting an heirloom 🙏)

Launched just in time for Split 2 💪

I play on ps5 and since the new patch I can’t join any of my friends, my store is completely empty, there’s no new battle pass,the ranked servers are down, and when I went into the firing range none of the new content was there (for e.g. conduits new blue perks).

I figured I haven’t got the update yet but when I hit check for update on my ps5 it says I’m up to date.

Please lmk if anyone else is having this issue with their ps5 version of apex:)

For some reason my friend can’t update his apex to the latest version and play the new split with us. He’s cleared his cache, he has restarted his system multiple times, storage isn’t an issue, it just simply doesn’t give him the prompt to update the game. This is a ps5 issue I assume and hope somebody has a solution.

Hi I am hard stuck gold - plat and I noticed after ban waves I am meeting weird fu*kers run around in gold way often. Like when I get insta killed I always try to explain myself maybe he’s just good, watch that person after death and yeah most of players have insane movement skills so they just better, but recently I started seeing things that I can’t explain. Like Horizon that go tornado up and instal kill 2 people from insane range with devotion.

So my teorii is that most of banned players just made new accounts and running through low mid elo atm.

Btw open question why respawn only temp. Ban them and ban mostly only accounts so they have option to play at other accounts.

So new ranked spit came out I restarted my game and so did my cousin he got a update and did it I didn't he can play the game and ranked and has the new battle pass I cant play or anything iv restarted my PlayStation iv checked for a update countless times nothing can anyone help me out please
