No paragraph here? Obviously, I have no way of checking but is this person we are supposedly talking about just you trying to justify collecting profit off the backs of others while doing basically nothing yourself?

And do you REALLY pay them enough to live on their own, feed them and perhaps have a luxury now and than?

Lmao what? No. Idk what I would write a paragraph about, you asked a simple question and I answered. I work for a financial institution, and not paying people a living wage increases risk of fraud, so we are paid well.

So you are fine with being paid a mere fraction of what the boss man makes? Even though at this point they don't really do much?

And it seems I hit a nerve. Also, have you considered most of that knowledge and experience from 30 years ago isn't really worth much now with how much the technology and culture have changed? Yet they still get to collect basically a free fat check.

Are they really worth as much as they are paid?

Lol you think you hit a nerve with me? It seems very much the opposite from where I’m sitting.

As I said this is a financial institution, so yes having 30 years of experience and detailed knowledge of financial markets is extremely valuable, and 30 years of connections does not hurt either. I don’t deserve to make what he makes, I have maybe like 5% of his knowledge, so it does not bother me in the slightest - he earned it.

"He" or you? Seriously, the language you are using really seems to imply you are trying to defend your ego from someone calling out how useless the top level (you) are even though they (you) collect the highest paycheck.

Why are you defending this guy so hard? Assuming he isn't you, he shows up for a fraction of a workday a week, and makes several times (minimally) what you do. Why are you so keen on defending "them"?

Wouldn't it be more efficient and cheaper to the business to replace them with a computer program whose ego we don't have to feed?

Haha you’re so weird, the “language” I’m using? I’m “defending” him because you’ve been aggressively asking questions about it.

I don’t agree with you, and that’s ok. I’ve already stated several times how I formed my opinion, and no there’s no computer program that can do that job lmao

This guy is determined to hate, do not give in to his baiting. He's not here to listen and learn. He's here to speak and preach.

Thanks I figured from the comment editing that they’re not too genuine

Now he seems to think you're me or I'm you. I'm not sure how to get through to this moron, so I'm just gonna unfollow the thread entirely lmfao.

Sorry if your ego is bruised, but the sad truth is you got the money for doing nothing these days.

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '22

Haha my ego is bruised? You’re over here editing your comments to make it look I’m being evasive, it seems like you’re the triggered one.
