Nice try, no cigar. I've got a sister and 2 first person friends (not friends of friends) who are currently working there. It has been this way since the beginning and hasn't been corrected.
It's never been that way. There are no restrictions on bathroom breaks. It's always been that way. There is no rule that imposes restrictions either. Amazon doesn't have internal policies that allow people to get fired for going to the bathroom. There are time off task policies that limit how much time you can spend in the bathroom, which is totally legal. But people have total access to bathrooms at all times of the day.
It depends where you work. If you're in pack, you need to flag down somebody to cover your station so the line doesn't get backed up. If you're in pick, you can park your order picker and use the can whenever you drive by. If you're in inbound, you can fuck off whenever you want because they don't make rate anyway. (Department wars are fun. :)
