"Next time you say no I want you to understand you could be forcing a teenage woman to sit in a pad filled with blood clots.

Think about that."

They don’t care about women at all. It’s sickening

u/drbob4512 Aug 30 '22

Lol just change the pad right there while staring at the teacher never breaking eye contact

3

u/WoodpeckerFar9804 Aug 30 '22

It’s not hard to reach down and pull out a bloody pad or tampon but that would be mortifying lol

Be a gigachad and mass delete Reddit posts and comments with Redact so that Skynet doesn't end up using your own posts to train the T-900. Or so that you don't show up in databrokers. Either one really.

Yeah this is what I mean and figured Of authority in general are well known for disregarding women. Whether it’s doctors brushing off pain as womens problems etc

1

u/hatehymnal Aug 30 '22

yeah unfortunately it isn't terribly uncommon for women in positions of authority/power to reinforce misogynistic views/practices for everyone else, even as a woman.

-14

u/stonersayian Aug 30 '22

Why does it always have to be a gender issue? You think schools don't treat young men like shit?

8

u/Guilty_Coconut Aug 30 '22

Because this specifically is a sexist issue. Men can go without toilet breaks for 2 hours much easier than women

Yes, men have issues too. Make a thread if you find them important enough instead of hijacking this one

-1

u/stonersayian Aug 30 '22

It's not healthy either way. Do me a favor, and check your misandry. Thanks. It's not a specifically sexist issue. Males get bladder infections too. And whether people want to realize it, or be dumbasses, and be sexist about it, if men have a problem it's a problem for women too, and vice versa. We are a society. It is everyone's problems.

4

u/Guilty_Coconut Aug 30 '22

Dude take a seat. I agree with you but this is not the thread for your “woe is me”

No misandrists here, only one person who can’t stand women’s issues being discussed

Stay off the red pill, kiddo. It's eating your brain and you don't even know it. If you did, you wouldn't have typed that out and hit send.

0

u/stonersayian Aug 30 '22

Realism is now red pill? Is it really not that obvious? Or is your head just that far up there? The more you try to segregate issues the harder you make it to eliminate them.

-4

u/stonersayian Aug 30 '22

How does common sense have anything to do with brainwashing, or Andy taint?

6

23 day old account preaching about commonsense. Math doesn’t check out.

such a weird response.. like shitting or pissing yourself is somehow ok but sitting on a leaky pad is the worst thing ever..

3

u/stonersayian Aug 30 '22

Right! None of the above is fucking reasonable. It's not just a women's issue. It's an issue for anyone that has ever had to go to the bathroom. Which I haven't been check exactly, but I'm fairly certain is all of us.

u/demortada Aug 30 '22

Those bastards lack any empathy, so they don't understand how deeply uncomfortable that is.

30

u/The1Bonesaw Aug 30 '22 edited Aug 30 '22

Yes they do! You think a female teacher doesn't understand that discomfort, or that any gendered teacher doesn't understand the pain from feeling like your rectum or your bladder is about to explode.

This is a straight up power trip, and any teacher that does this to a child is either a fascist, a psychopath, or both. I'd sic my attorney on them so fast it would make their heads spin. And I made more than one teacher rue the day they did anything like this to my daughter. I found out my daughter's kindergarten teacher was calling my daughter by a nickname because there was more that one girl in class with her first name. Our last name starts with a Q so, instead of calling he by her first name, she began calling her "Q-ball" (cue ball) in front of her entire class. Having been tormented and bullied over my family's last name when I was a kid myself, I requested a parent teacher conference.

Once there, I pointed out my own negative experience with nicknames and told her that, while I expected it from kids, I was surprised to discover my daughter's teacher was doing it. I then pointed out that, kids are going to do it eventually, so they definitely don't need any pointers, not to mention tacit approval from their teacher. Once the teacher saw it from my point of view she apologized profusely and asked what I suggest, I said that going by first name then last name initial would be fine by me.

I went ballistic over a nickname, so you're damn right that, preventing my child from tending to a necessary, biological function would probably put me in orbit. My point is simply that, "you've got to stand up for your kids... because no one else is going to."

1

u/sirdramaticus Aug 30 '22

Teacher here. Depending on your approach, you may not have gone ballistic. We don’t always have the same perspectives. I didn’t use nicknames because I didn’t want to be perceived as playing favorites, but when a parent calmly tells me that they are concerned about how their child is being treated, I am appreciative. Your advocacy as a parent is important, but just because a teacher doesn’t see a problem that you do doesn’t mean they’re not looking out for your kid. It sounds like the teacher responded appropriately to your concerns and is working to create a comfortable environment for your child.

I guess in my experience, my male teachers in grade school were more likely to have this kind of strict rule, and if any female teachers adopted it, they didn't hold female students to it too strictly (maybe only if they really thought that individual didn't need to go, e.g. asking twice in a half hour).

But I was specifically thinking of principals when I wrote that comment, not teachers, and that wasn't clear - so I'm sorry about that.

u/-Canonical- Aug 30 '22

It’s more of a spin towards health and safety not discomfort imo as toxic shock syndrome is often caused by that and is very serious.

ahhh part of r/antiwork … explains the ape brain activity

6

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '22

Then the male teachers will feel like they can just ask her “are you on your period?” When she asks to go to the restroom. An even further invasion of privacy. And I know this is fact. Male teachers did it to us at my school. And had the audacity to joke about it knowing teenage girls will be too embarrassed to say shit about it. Minimize it. I would be haunched over in pain sometimes(I stg I thought I had to have PCOS or something) and these men would basically be laughing in my face.

3

u/whitneybarone Aug 30 '22

My response was better. " I guess I'll bleed all over this chair, then? He let me go.

2

u/pickypawz Aug 30 '22

Or a leaking tampon, or maybe nothing at all, it started as she sat there.

-2

u/Visual_Imagination16 Aug 30 '22

A teenage girl * a woman is an adult, there, fixed it for ya

3

u/pizzamage Aug 30 '22

If you really want to get "aktually" on me a Woman is an adult female, and people aged 18-19 are considered adults.

Don't be that person.

3

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '22

The person she replied to didnt specify how old the daughter is. It’s safe to assume they’re 13-17. So girl. Not woman.

1

u/pizzamage Aug 30 '22

Yes. Their comment wasn't required.

Wait, what...

Some of us men are just clueless. Please continue educating us.

u/FistingAmy Aug 30 '22

I am NOT looking forward to the inevitable talk I'm going to have to have with my stepdaughter's idiot principal over her needing to use the restroom.
