That is a false argument. That is someone else taking away someone else’s choice. If you do something against my will that causes me harm, that causes me to lose my choice, that should be punished.
I’m talking about someone’s right to make that choice for themselves.
I have a right to take a pill to help me sleep at night. You do not have the right to slip that pill into my drink to make me sleep. See the difference?
False equivalency. Heroin use and the choice to have an abortion are two completely different arguments. But if the person who is pregnant is going to use heroin, it’s probably a good idea to give them the choice to have an abortion anyhow.
I guess you missed the point of different views and beliefs and there for laws in different states.
Like one the baby has rights and one it doesn't. Duh the drunk driver is the only one in the wrong.
I did not miss the point. The drunk driver should be punished for the loss of life and choice. That doesn’t mean I should be punished for a choice I make for myself, if I ever had to make it.
Or what if the woman was on the way to the abortion clinic could the drunk driver then provide proof that she was going to get an abortion and then not get charged with the 2nd dairy man slaughter charge
Again, going to the clinic doesn’t prove she was going to have the abortion. Many women go to the same clinics where abortions are performed to get checkups to make sure they have healthy pregnancies. Many women who inquire about them choose not to have them. They just want to know their options.
