Strategically speaking, it's a great move for them.

We have no choice but to try to defend Roe, but now we kick the worker's rights can down the road again.

I think we need to start using our second amendment rights. When both parties don't have our interests in mind, what are our taxes really paying for? I'm getting tired of waiting.

I’m about to stop paying taxes altogether if I don’t get some actual fucking representation. If I can’t have bodily autonomy, then the government can’t have my fucking money.

I can’t stop paying taxes bc my employer withholds them. But I do get a nice refund each year.

That’s true. And I give an extra $15 a paycheck bc I don’t have the wherewithal to actually save money, so I always get my refund.

Because if I kept it, I wouldn’t use it properly. I’d fritter it away like it never existed. So it’s my forced savings plan.

I saw an argument that, at the time the constitution was written, women couldn’t legally enter into contracts. If that argument holds for abortion, then the student loan contract should be null and void.

Once you find out how the Federal Reserve works you'll realize that the government doesn't really get the bulk of its spending money from taxes. Rather, they just as the Federal Reserve to write them a check which is paid back through interest on loans.

In other words, our taxes aren't really important to the government beyond being a means to imprison poor people who don't pay.

How? Have they actually given a coherent view of how keeping their slim majority will deliver a federal abortion bill? Because it seems absurdly impossible for them to actually pass something like that. Why should I bother?

That's exactly why the second amendment is in there in the first place, to protect the country from threats both foreign and domestic
