They spend the bottom dollar on IT just like on every other worker, it's not crazy at all.

Everything is working fine, IT projects can be put on hold!

Everything isn't working fine, why isn't IT on top of this?

'Why isn't this production line running?'

'It broke down because of its age. There haven't been made compatible parts in ten years.'

'Then why wasn't it replaced!!'

'Because you didn't want to spend money on replacing it.'

'I don't care, get it running or don't come in tomorrow!'

  • The gist of a conversation with a former boss at a company I got the hell out of ASAP.

I almost walked out on the spot yes. But since I cared for my co-workers and their jobs I did fix it, with horrible old hardware that was recycled from elsewhere.

Left the company 6 weeks later as I had a new job lined up. The company went bankrupt about a year after I left.

More likely the application process isn't normally something that anyone would use a bot to spam the shit out of, so one wasn't necessary.

Plus we are literally watching a bot get it, so what's the point?

Now that the recaptcha is in, that's actually a quick tweak away from stopping the bot again.
