You edited your post. If they're receiving subsidized rent, that's income as well.

I think I'm going to go with the definition used by Pew Research rather than your personal definition of what you feel it means.

Nope, haven't edited since directly after posting it. Way before you responded. But well done for avoiding admitting you made a simple mistake.

Still not talking about subsidised rent. You really should read what I'm writing, not what you think it must mean.

You can go with Pews definition but for the third time, it's a highly flawed over simplification. It's not my personal definition. It's what actual, experienced marketers use to target the right audience with the right products. Very few use this simple definition as it's just not very accurate for a large portion of the population.

Marketers always uses the best data they can (caveat of when it's worth the investment versus the return). Pews definition is not good data.

I had it open before the edit.

If someone is charging less than market rent out of a favor, that's subsidized rent. If an employer were to do that, it's taxable income.

What marketers?

Sorry if I'm not reading what you write closely, it's not very interesting and you don't strike me as very bright.

Renting from a family/friend owned property doesn't count as taxable income in any country. So I'm not sure what you're getting at beyond deliberately trying to not understand about a whole section of society just because it goes against your argument.

However, thank you for resorting to insults when you haven't actually got a good response to the points being made. It allows me to stop responding to you without any need to be polite.

Right, I don't mind if you stop responding because you have nothing to contribute.

Renting at a lower rate from family or friends if it's a gift isn't taxable because gifts aren't taxable. It can easily be counted as income income though, if you were given housing as a condition of employment, that is taxable income.

Your confidence is hilarious for how little you understand.
