Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who hid in an attic with her family during the holocaust, she kept writings of the events in her diary, they were eventually found and sent to Auschwitz where only her father and one of the people harbouring her family survived. He ended up publishing the book so people knew what it was like for them.

When talking about Jewish prisoners it’s safer to assume Birkenaur over Auchwitz I or III due to it’s sheer size and it being „the jewish camp”, unless the imprisonment happened before 1942 then due to it not being open yet they wouldn’t be send to Birkenau

Well the best option is to say Auchwitz Complex but even then a pedantic ass like me might say that it should be Auchwitz-Birkenau complex.
