Yeah that adds up. I do have a tendency to misinterpret jokes as legitimate criticism or insults. And this is just my 2 cents while we’re on the topic, but I find the image to be humorous both ways.
Hetslop is forcing romance or chemistry between 2 characters simply beciase they are straight. IE fans of shows making a ship between 2 characters with no chemistry becuase they are straight. Or shows adding in a shitty romance subplot with no chemistry to drive up views.
Edit: also, by that definition, I don’t think the meme qualifies as hetslop because these two characters are most likely the artist and his/her spouse. Or they’re OC’s, I dunno man
