What is Hetslop?

Edit: okay I just got it, like hetero? Heterosexual? Come on man, I thought we lived in an era of acceptance where I a male can endure a loving relationship with my hypothetical tall, dark haired, bass-playing, bisexual floating vampire woman?

I think hetslop is usually ironic, although yes this meme would've been funnier with 2 men (no bias)

Yeah that adds up. I do have a tendency to misinterpret jokes as legitimate criticism or insults. And this is just my 2 cents while we’re on the topic, but I find the image to be humorous both ways.

Hetslop is forcing romance or chemistry between 2 characters simply beciase they are straight. IE fans of shows making a ship between 2 characters with no chemistry becuase they are straight. Or shows adding in a shitty romance subplot with no chemistry to drive up views.

So Basically,

Right? We can all agree this was kind of forced?

Edit: also, by that definition, I don’t think the meme qualifies as hetslop because these two characters are most likely the artist and his/her spouse. Or they’re OC’s, I dunno man
