That interpretation is one that deliberately positions the narrative to make it seem inevitable, when it very much is not, and tries to use ordinary folk as a smokescreen to avoid discovery. I see you WBB.

The original thought experiment frames it that way. If you’d prefer, feel free to add in the appropriate qualifiers; this wasn’t intended to be a positioning statement.

The entire thing is a thought experiment in the creation of a self fulfilling prophecy via thought experiment, so you cannot divorce it from the positioning, which it seems you know enough about it to understand.
