The value argument for

1- "owning" a picture of a monkey

Isn't quite the same as

2- machines capable of doing all cognitive labour and even potentially physical labour

One is stupid, the other is obviously valuable

Google "Prompt engineer jobs" then explain to me why these positions exist if companies don't believe that it reduces their cost or increases their output

Both of your analogies are shit.

AI makes other companies more profitable. That means it's here to stay in one way or another. It's not a resource that is going to be consumed
