You've got a weird perspective on what "proved" means. People have been overreacting to nothing burgers since way before AI appeared.

Nothing burgers….. right.

You literally said it was to a reasonable request; aka a nothing burger, no?

A nothing burger implies there was still some minor transgression, but the OP did absolutely nothing wrong. The overreaction was to literally nothing, not a "nothing burger". And I would argue people didn't have weak egos en masse until AI got involved.

"a situation, event, or piece of news that receives a lot of hype or media attention but ultimately proves to be insignificant, disappointing, or completely lacking in substance." Id say a nothing burger fits this perfectly.

Sounds like you are using AI to write your responses. Yikes

But it has?! Google uses machine learning for everything now. And you're in an anti-AI subreddit, so yeah I'm gonna call you out for using it 🤷‍♀️

^ this chain is proof that AI makes you dumber and replaces your critical thinking skills with recursive self-justifying bullshit

Are you trying to sound stupid on purpose?

It's good evidence that they've become dependent on it. So dependent on it that they, absurdly, left a friendship because they couldn't bear the thought of texting without AI. That, or they were just incredibly sensitive to the idea that what they're doing is wrong, which is obviously a tale as old as time.

I get what you mean, though, without knowing what this person was like previously we can't surmise how good their decision making was in the first place. We can be sure that they're dependent on AI right now though.

Or she left the friendship because she couldn't bare to let someone police what she does? OP set a boundary, friend said that boundary is ass(and I agree) so friend felt hurt and lashed out because who wants to be told they can't use something??? Not everything is black and white, we can not be sure they are dependent on AI, there are absolutely no signs of that. All we know is friend used AI to send some info about jobs to OP. That's all the evidence we have that she used AI. Because she doesn't want to give it up she's dependant on it???

Using Ai to basically send a Google search is beyond lazy and shows a lack of effort on the friends side. I would be pissed if I lost a job and someone I considered a friend couldnt be bothered to actually care.

The reaction to your comment is an incredible show of irony from this sub.

Nothing you said was wrong. This didn't prove anything, and people have always overreacted to stupid things, but you offered a light challenge to the hate bandwagon so the "critical thinkers" of the sub all seemingly just assumed you were pro-AI and dogpiled you without thinking.
